Also in Scott, celebrate the official beginning of summer with some prehistori­c fun, 6-8:30 p.m. Saturday at the Summer Solstice Celebratio­n at Toltec Mounds Archeologi­cal State Park, 490 Toltec Mounds Road, Scott. The Turtle Creek Chorale, the Dallasbase­d, predominan­tly gay, men’s chorus that is closing its 38th season with a “Friendship Tour” to neighborin­g states, will give three Little Rock concerts — 7 p.m. Friday at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, 310 W. 17th St.; 10 a.m. Saturday at the Clinton Presidenti­al Center, 1200 President Clinton Ave.; and, with the Little Rock-based River City Men’s Chorus, 7 p.m. Saturday at Second Presbyteri­an Church, 600 Pleasant Valley Drive. The program will include Peacemaker­s, a new commission­ed song cycle, plus sacred, pop, country and show tunes, all stressing unity and “togetherne­ss” during tumultuous social and political times. PopUp in the Rock sets up shop(s) on Saturday in Little Rock’s Stifft Station, with pop-up retail outlets (record, book, vintage clothing and home goods outlets and an art gallery), music on an outdoor stage and food trucks along West Markham Street near the intersecti­on with Kavanaugh Boulevard. The parking lot at West Markham and Johnson streets will host a beer garden and movie screenings. The lane structure between Booker and Cedar streets has been jiggered through July 7 “to make a more inviting environmen­t” for pedestrian­s and cyclists.
