Through my own life experiences, I have learned how important commonsense health-care services are to patients, families, and our state’s budget. Portable X-ray and ultrasound services are a key component in improving Arkansas’ long-term care landscape for patients and their families while helping us manage our state’s budget.

Arkansas is fortunate to have Mobilex USA in our state. Every day, Mobilex licensed and accredited X-ray technologists and sonographers travel to more than 300 skilled nursing facilities in Arkansas as well as to homebound and hospice patients and 7,000 skilled nursing facilities throughout the United States. They provide their services to thousands of Arkansas patients each month, as they have done nationally for over 35 years, and have built an outstanding reputation for availability, responsiveness, quality, and patient care.

Mobilex USA is an important employer with 50 full-time and part-time skilled employees in Arkansas. Career opportunities in the field are excellent as Mobilex USA continues to expand and grow its highly skilled, in-demand work force.

Companies like Mobilex USA allow patients and families to avoid the unnecessary risks and costs associated with transportation, provide needed access to services in many rural areas of the state, and are an important way in which we can manage our healthcare budget without reducing access to needed health-care services.

In sum, Mobilex USA provides a critical service to Arkansas patients and nursing homes alike. By limiting the unnecessary risk and high costs of transporting patients for diagnostic testing, lowering health-care costs and providing highly skilled jobs to our state, Mobilex USA is a real asset. I am thrilled to have such an excellent provider of health-care services and good employer in our state with its headquarters in my district.
