Hot Springs Village concert season lineup has world-class performers
HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE — The Hot Springs Village Concerts Association has announced its 2018-19 lineup, bringing world-class entertainment to the community. The following productions are scheduled.
• The Doo Wop Project, Sept. 12-14: This show depicts the evolution of doo-wop, from Frankie Valli and Smokey Robinson to Michael Jackson and Maroon 5, and features stars of Broadway hits Jersey Boys and Motown: The Musical.
• Ethan Bortnick, Nov. 14-16: Renowned singer, songwriter, pianist, actor and philanthropist, teen sensation Bortnick performs a wide-ranging repertoire.
• Dallas String Quartet, Jan. 16-18: Journey to the nexus of classical music and modern pop. DSQ has performed for Presidents Barack Obama and George W. Bush, the NBA and NFL, and in concert halls the world over.
• Farewell Angelina, March 13-15: This all-female country group “delivers wickedly smart songwriting with a healthy dash of sass and deft playing into one sonic knockout punch.” — Rolling Stone.
The group offers a blend of heart-stopping harmonies over blazing violins and guitars.
• Atlantic City Boys, April 17-19: The Boys have performed in Vegas, Disney World and Atlantic City, as well as on cruise ships the world over. Featuring a mix of vocals and comedy, their show presents harmonies of songs from groups such as the Beach Boys and the Bee Gees, and of course, Frankie Valli.
Now in its 27th year, HSVC is a member-only, nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing world-class entertainment to Woodlands Auditorium in Hot Springs Village.
