Award-winning Zac Dunlap Band at Rev Room
The Zac Dunlap Band will perform at 8:30 p.m. Friday at the Rev Room in Little Rock. Admission is $7.
The band recently won four awards — entertainer of the year, vocal group of the year, song of the year and video of the year for “Arkansas’ Mine” — at the first Arkansas Country Music Awards ceremony.
Joan, along with opening acts The Band Camino and Phangs, will perform at 8 p.m. Saturday. Admission is $12.
Joan, despite a name suggesting a solo female performer, actually consists of two male musicians from Little Rock: Alan Thomas and Steven Rutherford, who have been called an ’80s-inspired dream pop duo.

The Legendary Pacers will perform at 8 p.m. today at South on Main in Little Rock. Admission is $10.
The Arkansas rockabilly group will again do a tribute to its late founder, Sonny Burgess, who died in August. The band, who left July 4 to perform at the Wildest Cats in Town festival in London, will also perform at the High Rockabilly festival in Spain in September. The band also will do shows in Memphis, Newport and Walnut Ridge. The South on Main show will be the Pacers’ last show in Little Rock this year.

Kool Keith, 54, began his career in 1988 as a member of the Ultramagnetic MCs. In 1996, he released his solo debut album, Dr. Octagonecologyst, under the name, Dr. Octagon. He has released 15 solo albums, the latest, Moosebumps: An Exploration into Modern Day Horripilation, came out earlier this year.

Veteran rock bands Foghat and Blue Oyster Cult will perform at 7 p.m. Saturday at Magic Springs Theme and Water Park in Hot Springs.
Foghat, formed in England in 1971, is known for the 1970s hit songs “Slow Ride,” “Drivin’ Wheel,” “I Just Want to Make Love to You” and “Third Time Lucky (First Time I Was a Fool.)” Roger Earl, the band’s original drummer, left in 1984 but returned two years later. Bryan Bassett has been lead guitarist since 1999 and Charlie Huhn has been lead singer and rhythm guitarist since 2000. Rodney O’Quinn is the touring bassist.
Blue Oyster Cult, formed on Long Island, N.Y., in 1967, is best known for its song “(Don’t Fear) the Reaper.” Lead guitarist Buck Dharma has been with the band since its formation.
