South Africa’s Seether in Hot Springs; Hart in LR

Seether will perform, along with opening act Deas Vail, at 7 p.m. Saturday at Magic Springs Theme and Water Park in Hot Springs.

Seether, originally named Saron Gas, formed in South Africa in 1999. The band has cited Nirvana and Alice in Chains as its influences and has released seven albums under the name Seether since debuting with Disclaimer in 2002. The band’s latest, Poison the Parish, came out in 2017.

Opening act Deas Vail was formed in Russellvil­le in 2003.

Tickets are $59.99; $49.99 online; $39.99 for 55 and over and those under 4 feet tall; and $64.99 season pass. Reserved seating is $8 or $10; parking is $10.

The Whole Famn Damily, along with Awkward Peach and Nathan Perry, will perform at 9 p.m. today at White Water Tavern in Little Rock. Admission is $7.

Alvin Youngblood Hart will perform at 9 p.m. Friday. Admission is $10.

Hart, a country blues guitarist and mandolinis­t who began his career in 1996, visits White Water every year or so. He won a Grammy Award in 2004 for contributi­ng to the compilatio­n, Beautiful Dreamer: The Songs of Stephen Foster. He won the W.C. Handy Award for best new artist in 1997 and Downbeat magazine named his 1998 album, Territory, the best blues album of 1999.

Wayne “The Train” Hancock, along with opening act Scott H. Biram, will perform at 8:30 p.m. Saturday. Admission is $15.

Hancock, who released his debut album, Thundersto­rms and Neon Signs, in 1995, calls himself the king of “juke joint swing.” He has been compared to, and has worked with, Hank Williams III.

Adam Hambrick, along with opening act Bree Ogden, will perform at 8 p.m. today at the Rev Room in Little Rock. Admission is $10.

Arkansauce will perform at 9 p.m. Friday. Admission ranges from $8 to $21.

Klubhouse, A1 Nino, OleboyDavy, Don 400, Phatte 400 with a DJ set and sound by Yuni Wa, will perform for “Boofed Out” at 8 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $5.

Joywave, along with opening act Grandson, will perform at 8:30 p.m. Friday. Admission is $15.

Joywave, an alternativ­e rock band, was formed in Rochester, N.Y., by five musicians, and the group has opened shows for The Killers and toured with Young the Giant and Cold War Kids. The band has performed on the late-night shows hosted by Seth Myers and Jimmy Kimmel. Joywave released a debut album, How Do You Feel Now?, in April 2015 and a follow-up, Content, in July 2017.

The Body, along with opening acts Lingua Ignata and Or, will perform at 9 p.m. Saturday. Tickets are $10 in advance, $12 the day of the show.
