Palestine Baptist Church Homecoming PEARSON — Palestine Baptist Church, 389 Edgemont Road (Arkansas 16) in the Pearson community, will celebrate 157 years of existence with a homecoming celebration. Brother Matthew Corkran will preach at 11 a.m., followed by a potluck lunch in the Fellowship Hall. Linda Morgan, a Southern gospel vocalist, will perform after lunch. All are asked to bring a dish to share.

Anatomy for Teen Artists MOUNTAIN VIEW — The Arkansas Craft School, 101 N. Peabody Ave., will offer Anatomy for Teen Artists with Adrian Deckbar from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday. The course will teach teens how to draw the form of the human figure in proportion, create and draw the human form in 3-D and use this information and apply it to a living person for a portrait. Art Gallery 25th Anniversary Celebration FAIRFIELD BAY — The public is invited to the 25th Silver Anniversary Celebration of the North Central Arkansas Art Gallery in the Fairfield Bay Conference Center from 6-8 p.m. The gallery has been the venue for the display of artwork by area residents for a quarter of a century. Native American Flute FAIRFIELD BAY — William Worden, flute maker and musician, will bring his handmade instruments and stories to the Fairfield Bay Community Education Center from 9-11 a.m. Wednesday and Aug. 1. Worden is an Artist on Tour and an Artist in Education with the Arkansas Arts Council. The workshops are free, and young children are encouraged to participate. American Legion Post 71 Meetings CABOT — Criswell-Robinson American Legion Post 71, 114 N. First St., will meet at 7 p.m., with a pre-meeting meal at 6 p.m. at the post. All military members and their spouses are welcome to attend and become members. Post 71 meets the fourth Thursday of each month. All spouses may join the Auxiliary, and daughters may join the Junior Auxiliary. Any sons of military personnel may join the Sons of American Legion Chapter. There is also a chapter of Legion Riders, for veterans who ride motorcycles and a ham radio (STARS) chapter. Hamburgers for Homelessness SEARCY — Jacob’s Place Homeless Mission will host its annual Grill-Fest: Hamburgers for Homelessness from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at First Assembly of God, 101 Benton Ave. This family-friendly event will feature music, burgers, hot dogs, games, vendors and more. Tickets, at $5 each, may be purchased in advance at local banks. All proceeds from the event will benefit Jacob’s Place and will help local families who are experiencing homelessness.

T Tauri Movie Camp Finale Screening BATESVILLE — The T Tauri Movie Camp, the youth division of the Ozark Foothills FilmFest, invites the public to this year’s free Movie Camp Finale Screening at 7 p.m. in Independence Hall at the University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville. The screening will showcase the videos created in the Acting on Camera, Smartphone Storytelling, Brickfilms Stop Motion Animation and Script to Screen workshops. Quitman High School Reunion QUITMAN — The annual Quitman High School Reunion for all graduates and students who attended Quitman schools will take place from 2-5 p.m. at the Quitman Bulldog Complex on the east side of the school campus. The theme is All Things ’60s. Attendees are encouraged to bring memorabilia relating to their 1960s Quitman school experience. Light refreshments will be served. The QHS Class of 1968 will host the reunion and present a short program. No reservations are required. Main St., will offer a workshop titled Explore the Art of Cyanotype: Sun Printing on Paper and Fabric from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Participants will learn the art of cyanotype printing to capture patterns from nature or other objects. Every student will leave with a silk cyanotype scarf and learn the best methods for creating original designs on fabric and paper. Tuition is $75, and the materials fee is $25.
