He is survived by his parents, Darion and Debbie Grable of Little Rock; son, Benjamin Lane Grable Jr., also of Little Rock; daughters, Victoria Lane Grable of Texarkana, Arkansas, and Rheanelle A. –––––❖––––– BILLY V. HATCHER, 85, of Little Rock, went to his heavenly home on July

31, 2018, at

Good Shephard Rehabilita­tion Center. He was born on December 21, 1932, in Tyler, Texas, to the late Alfred Hatcher and

Draxie Vanola (Watson) Hatcher.

He was a 1951 graduate of Watson Chapel High School, where he proudly drove the school bus his junior and senior year; was a member of the Beta Club; helped build the bleachers on the football field; played basketball and football (loved to tackle); and was voted “Best allaround boy”.

He was a long-time member of Baseline Missionary Church. When they sold the church, he was happy that the Lord had led him to First Missionary Baptist Church of Mabelvale. He was a member of the Southwest Kiwanis club where he served as secretary/treasurer. He retired from AP&L (Entergy) in 1991 and as a Lt. Col. from the Army National Guard in 1993. He enjoyed bowling, playing golf, watching westerns, playing hymns on the piano, traveling, coaching and watching Marianne play softball.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 63 years, Vestal (Cearley) Hatcher; four brothers: Alton Hatcher of Houston, Texas, Nathan (Fats) Hatcher of Houston, Texas, Wilson Hatcher of Houston, Texas, and Milton Hatcher of Houston, Texas; two sisters: Iva Marie (Tommie) Maxwell of Houston, Texas, and Irene Kirsey of Houston, Texas, as well as his cousin, Robert Taylor of Corpus Christi, Texas. He is survived by his three daughters: Cindy Scallion (Ned) of Searcy Ark., Vicki Elam (Tim) of Mabelvale, Ark., and Marianne Hatcher of Little Rock, Ark.; three grandchild­ren: Sara Hawkins (Dylan) of Russellvil­le, Ark., Trey Scallion (Amanda) of Maumelle, Ark., and Mary Heroux (Matthew) of Conway, Ark.; six great-grandchild­ren; Solomon Hawkins, Emmett Hawkins (Rylan Paul Hawkins on the way) of Russellvil­le, Ark., Samantha Scallion of Maumelle, Ark., Faith Hudson (Miguel) of Bryant, Ark. and Nicolas Redd of Bryant, Ark.; one great-great granddaugh­ter, Gwendolyn of Bryant, Ark.; two cousins: Martha Ladd (Buddy) and Shirley Wollems of Houston, Texas, as well as many nieces and nephews who he loved dearly.

Our family would like to thank Good Shepherd, CHI St. Vincent Rehabilita­tion Hospital in North Little Rock and Andover Place Assisted living for his excellent care.

–––––❖––––– ROSA JANE WISE, 91, of Sherwood, departed this life on Tuesday, July 31, 2018. She was born March 13, 1927, in Charlotte, Arkansas, to Auther and Myrtle Brogdon. Rosa was a loving wife, mother, and “Nana” who will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Rosa’s roles as a military-wife and mom included full-time teacher, advisor, confidante and life-guide to her sons. She believed the greatest gift a parent could give a child, besides love, was the ability to cope with whatever challenges life might present. She was a dedicated employee at Providenti­al Life for over 20 years until she retired to begin her favorite position fulltime: Nana. She loved gardening, knitting, sewing, crocheting, and spending time with her grandchild­ren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George; parents, Auther and Myrtle; son, Steven; brother, Walter; and sister, Juanita. She is survived by three sons, Richard (Carolyn), Terry (Shannon), and Mike (Frances), all of Sherwood; three grandchild­ren, Stephanie, Rachael, and Brian Wise; brothers, A.L. and Ed; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m. followed immediatel­y by funeral services beginning at 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 4, 2018, at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home in North Little Rock. Interment services will follow at Rest Hills Memorial Park.

–––––❖––––– CHARLYE WOODARD, 63, of Little Rock, peacefully transition­ed to Glory on Monday,

July 30, 2018, surrounded by family. She was born on December 14,

1954, to the late Reverend C.L. and Geraldine Washington in

Gould, Arkansas, where she began serving Christ at an early age.

Pastor Charlye dedicated her life to Christ and accepted her call, founding ChristCom Ministries, whose mission was to minister healing and restoratio­n to the Body of Christ. CCM eventually transition­ed to ChristCom Church in 2005, and Pastor C, along with her beloved husband, Pastor Fred Woodard served as the shepherds to many.

Fred preceded her to Heaven in 2014: she was also preceded by her sister, Ora Bea Washington; and brothers, Evester, James and Howard Washington. Remaining here on earth to honor her life and continue her legacy are: her children, Cedrick Crawford (Lauren), Desirae “Dee Dee” Holmes, and Angelica Holmes; her granddaugh­ter, Kasey Crawford; and her siblings, Zeophia Washington, Johnie Lee Washington, Erna Washington Frasier (Howard), Iownia Washington Lewis, and Sheila Washington; along with a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends who cherished her.

Pastor Charlye’s impact was vast; she served as a mentor, confidante, prayer partner and spiritual mother to many. She was a “General of Faith” in three inch-heels and the seeds she planted will continue to bear fruit. The Homegoing Celebratio­n will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, August 6, 2018, at the Agape Church, 701 Napa Valley Dr. in Little Rock. Interment will follow at Arkansas Memorial Gardens.
