NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Neal Luke Barlow, age 27, of Nashville, Tennessee died unexpected­ly on Saturday, August 18, 2018 in Nashville, Tennessee. Neal was born on April 27, 1991 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Jeb and Marilyn Barlow.

Neal loved the outdoors and was an avid duck hunter. His favorite times of day were sunrise and sunset. He loved to duck hunt with his Dad and Mr. Terry at the Dixie Duck Club in Arkansas. Neal was a very gifted and talented athlete. He earned multiple honors and awards in both football and basketball in high school at Pulaski Academy in Little Rock Arkansas. He was a member of the 2008 Pulaski Academy Football team that won the Arkansas 5A State Championsh­ip. Neal’s collegiate football career was cut short by foot injuries. Neal was a history buff and loved World War II history in particular. He once made a trip to Germany with his Mother to visit several World War II sites and gave his mother an informativ­e history lesson while there. Neal also loved to grill steaks, chicken and duck bites. He would often treat the family to a great breakfast of bacon, pancakes and scrambled eggs whenever he was in town.

He is survived by his parents Jeb and Marilyn Barlow; his sister, Sarah Barlow; maternal grandmothe­r, Linda (David) Hartman; maternal grandfathe­r, DeLacy (Pam) Luke; paternal grandmothe­r, Lynne Barlow; paternal grandfathe­r, Jack Barlow; Uncle Patrick Luke; Aunt Debra Barlow; various other extended family members; girlfriend, Rhian Dougherty; special friends, Terry and Shelia McLarty and his prized Labrador retriever Belle.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Neal’s honor to Miracles for Mary Foundation. 14208 Clarborne Court, Little Rock, Ark. 72211.
