EARL SAMUEL BROCK SR. age 90, of the East End Community, LR, Arkansas, passed away at his home with his loving wife and daughters by his side on Saturday September 1, 2018 after a courageous fight with Congestive

Heart Failure.

He was born on September 12, 1927 in Franklin, N.C. to Ina Belle Williams Brock and Earl Samuel Brock.

Earl served in the US Navy and later built a 46 year career, starting as an apprentice with Grinnell Fire Protection, and then worked into the position of engineer for Texas Automatic Sprinklers, where he help grow that company by opening 2 additional offices during his career in the Fire Protection Sprinkler business from which he retired in 1991. Many memories were made at the beach with family and friends. He enjoyed dancing, hunting, fishing, and time with his family. And we all know how much he loved to take pictures!! He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and attended East Union Missionary Baptist Church in East End.

Mr. Brock was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Dorothy Greene Brock, the mother of his children, his wife Betty Thomas Brock, his son-inlaw Robert Duane Rinehart, his granddaugh­ter Mandi Bailey Wheeler and his sister Mary Ann Tallent.

He is survived by his wife Margie Wright, daughters Catherine Brock Rinehart, and Daryl Brock Bailey of the East End Community and son Earl S. Brock Jr (Debbie) from Adrian, Michigan. Grandchild­ren Edward Rinehart (Angie), Scott Rinehart (Brenna), Justin Bailey, and 8 great grandchild­ren. Stepchildr­en Danny Callaghan (Brenda), Phyllis Fowler (Charles), Jenny Puett (Jared) all of Hot Springs, Gwen Hooper (Mike) of Hensley, Janet Quarles of Star City and 11 grandchild­ren and 5 great grandchild­ren.

Pallbearer­s will be Justin Bailey, Edward Rinehart, Scott Rinehart, Danny Callaghan, Joe Callaghan and Charles Fowler.

Visitation will be 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 5 at East Union Missionary Baptist Church with services beginning at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Salem Cemetery in East End. Bro. Paul Roberts will be officiatin­g.

Clinton, Arkansas to Willie Maddox Peel and George

Sam Peel. His siblings, Ona Lovelady, Laura Rasberry, and Bobby Peel along with his parents predecease­d him.

Much of Bill’s adult life was spent in a little community called Bragg City in the bootheel of Missouri, but his heart was always in his hometown of Clinton. He was Baptist by faith and attended church regularly until he was physically unable to do so.

Survivors include his sister, Anna Shreeve (Kent) of Little Rock, his aunt Betty Ruth Bonds of Parthenon and many adoring

nieces, nephews and cousins. He was absolutely the best brother a sister could have, and he brought a smile to everyone’s face who knew him.

A special thank you to the wonderful staff who cared for Bill at Pleasant Valley Nursing and Rehabilita­tion in Little Rock. A private burial will be at Bradley Cemetery, Clinton, Ark. Arrangemen­ts by Roller McNutt Funeral Home, Clinton.
