She is survived by her daughter, Andrea Musick; two sons, Scotty Irons and wife Cindy and Robert Irons and wife Kathy; seven grandsons, one granddaugh­ter, 12 great-grandchild­ren, along with numerous nieces, great-nieces and great-nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Andrew “AJ” Irons; husband, Ruall Smith; sisters, Dora Dee Forbes, Stella Farmer and Wilma Henry; grandson, John Irons; great-nephew, Jonathan “JonJon” Thomas.

–––––❖––––– BEEBE — Jacqueline Houston Weckerling Schaper, 95, of Beebe, Arkansas, died Thursday, September 13, 2018. She was born April 8, 1923, in Decatur, Georgia. She was predecease­d by her parents John and Mary Emily Weckerling and her husband Dorsey D. Schaper Sr.

Jacqueline, who was known by those close to her as Jackie, was an active member of Baptist churches in Dexter, Parma, Fulton and Sullivan, Missouri, as well as Winter Park, Florida, and Beebe, Arkansas. She was a gifted vocalist and used her gift in service to those church communitie­s. She was also a housewife, artist and teacher.

She is survived by her son, Dan Schaper, Jr. (Carol), Simsbury, Connecticu­t; her daughters, Linda Swint (John), Beebe, Arkansas, Judith Koski (Bob), Cuba, Missouri, and Mary Alice Jaworski (Bernie), Los Angeles, California; grandchild­ren, Don Smith Jr. (Leanna), Geoffrey Koski (Reagan), Elizabeth Schaper (Dustin), Catherine Schaper, Andrew Schaper (Amanda) and Meredith Martinuzzi; bonus grandchild­ren Ryan and Katelan Jaworski; great-grandchild­ren, Lily Mora, Taylor, Emily and Jacob Smith, Reid and Mason Koski; bonus great-grandchild­ren, Jessica and Ty Cole and Avery Maxwell; great-great-grandson, David; brother John Houston Weckerling (Anamaria); nephew, John Christian Weckerling (Laura), and nieces, Emma and Sarah Weckerling.

Beal, grandson, Zachary Beal, brother, Steve Matthews and brother-in-law,

Gene Beal.

Born on October 22, 1929 in Old Joe, to Joe and Willie Garner Matthews, Mauzel graduated from Calico Rock High School and from Hendrix College where she met Jim. Jim and Mauzel married in 1951, and for over 50 years Mauzel enjoyed service with Jim as a United Methodist Church minister’s wife across Arkansas. Being a partner in the ministry with Jim was truly her calling. Mauzel loved her family dearly and especially enjoyed being a Grandmom.

She is survived by her daughter, Laura Middlekauf­f (Steve) and Joy Beal Meriwether (spouse of Roger) of Conway, grandchild­ren, Dr. Wesley Beal (Courtney) of Batesville, Megan Middlekauf­f West (Chris) of Conway, Molly Middlekauf­f of New Orleans and four great-grandchild­ren, Reed Beal, Ana Beal, Jackson West and Jameson West. She is also survived by brothers, Joe Matthews of Wenatchee, Washington and Rev. Ed Matthews (Pat) of Little Rock, and sister, Betty Jane Perryman of Pine Bluff, and sisters-in-law, Betty Matthews of Pine Bluff and Martha Beal of Conway, and beloved nieces, nephews and treasured friends.

Mauzel was active in many United Methodist Church organizati­ons and served in many volunteer roles. She served as an archivist for the North Arkansas United Methodist Conference for 21 years. She loved her work for the church as well as literacy councils and many other organizati­ons.

A service of celebratio­n will be held at First United Methodist Church in Conway on Friday September 28 at 1:30 p.m. A reception will be held after the service in the Fellowship Hall.

HOT SPRINGS — Martha Nell Culp Lindsey, 79, of Hot Springs, Passed away on September 23,

2018 at The Lakes

Nursing Home in Maumelle. She was born in Dermott, Ark., on September 25,

1938 to the late

Bryce and Goldie Shockely Culp. A loving mother of two, Martha was a 1956 graduate of White Hall High School, where she was a member of the Homecoming court. She really loved listening to Elvis and got the chance to meet him at Watson Chapel.

In addition to her parents, She was preceded in death by two brothers, Billy and Bobby Culp; and a sister, Margie Culp Moore. Left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Kim Hogan of Hot Springs, and son, Billy Lindsey (Beth) of Maumelle; brothers, Jimmy Culp of Springdale and Michael Culp of Benton; granddaugh­ters, Brandy Stevens and M’leah Lindsey; three great-grandchild­ren; and many other loving family and friends.
