DENVER, Colo. — George Emery Ray passed from his earthly home to his heavenly home on September 24, 2018. He was born on December 22, 1949 to Cloys B. and Violet E. Ray in Chicago, Illinois. Shortly thereafter he and his family moved to North Little Rock, Arkansas. George attended North Heights Elementary and played French horn in the band at Ridgeroad Junior High. George graduated in the class of 1966 from North Little Rock High School and was a proud part of the 1965 State Championship football team. George was also one of two young men selected to attend Boys State. He had lived in the Denver, Colorado area for the past 35 years. George spent his years in church ministry, the banking business, consulting business and the automobile and motorcycle businesses. He had also worked in the Denver Bronco football organization. George was a natural born salesman and could sell a freezer to a penguin in a blizzard. He loved his wife, the Razorbacks, music, cars and motorcycles.
George was preceded in death, by a week, by his loving wife Jeani; his grandparents, Werner and Rosetta Lundquist, Hugo and Katherine Carlson, and George and Emma Ray, and his father and mother. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his sister, Judy (Ken) Reinhardt and his brother, David (Sandy) Ray. George also leaves behind his nieces, Merrigay Tullock, Kathy Bergner, Sarah Ray and nephew, Micah Ray as well as uncles, aunts, cousins, great-nieces and nephews.
Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Wheat Ridge, Colorado.
–––––❖––––– BALDWIN CITY, Kan. — Bernice Rae Boedeker, 90, of Baldwin City, Kansas passed away peacefully on October 5, 2018 at Baldwin Health Care and Rehabilitation Center. Graveside services will be held at a later date in Calico Rock, Arkansas. Bernice was born on December 6, 1927 in Calico Rock, Arkansas to Henry and Addie (Hively) Whiteaker; she was one of 9 children. She was a graduate of Calico Rock High School Class of 1946. She married the love of her life Paul Boedeker on January 30, 1971.
She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Paul. Other survivors include a sister, Edna (Whiteaker) Wallace and a brother, Thadnell Whiteaker along with many nieces and nephews.
Bernice loved quilting and crocheting.
She will be dearly missed by her husband and family.
