–––––❖––––– GOSHEN — Dale “Sting” Stingley, age 83, of Goshen passed away Wednesday October 10, 2018. He was born March 5, 1935 in Boswell, Oklahoma, the son of Leon Alfred and Josephine Barker Stingley.

Major Stingley was a retired officer and pilot of the United States Air Force. He was a Vietnam veteran with multiple tours of duty, awarded many decoration­s including the Distinguis­hed Flying Cross. Following his retirement from the Air Force, he earned an MBA from the University of Arkansas. He subsequent­ly began work at the U of A Computing Services Department, eventually becoming the Director of Production.

Among his many volunteer endeavors, Dale initiated the creation of the Goshen Volunteer Fire Department, and coached youth baseball.

He is survived by his wife Nancy, sons Richard and Byron, and granddaugh­ter, Kyla.

Visitation will be held 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Monday October 15, 2018 with Funeral Service starting at 10 a.m. at Moore’s Chapel. –––––❖––––– LAVACA — Mr. John Edmond Woods Jr., age 43 of Lavaca, Arkansas formerly of Prescott passed away Tuesday, October 9, 2018. Mr. Woods was born in Hope, Arkansas on July 11, 1975, to John Edmond Woods Sr. and Vickey Woods.

His most recent assignment was Professor of Military Science of the ROTC program at the University of Arkansas at Ft. Smith. He was a military veteran with over 26 years of service, including a tour to Iraq of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He was a Major in the U.S. Army, and in his years of service acquired many medals and badges. He was awarded the Meritoriou­s Service Medal, Army Commendati­on Medal, Combat Infantryma­n Badge, Air Assault Badge, Sniper Qualificat­ion, Airborne Badge, Governors Twenty Badge, and multiple other service and achievemen­t awards. He was a graduate of Henderson State University in Arkadelphi­a with a BSE. He also attended the Church of Christ.

He is preceded in death by his father, John Edmond Woods Sr. Survivors include his loving wife of 23 years, Rhonda Simmons Woods of Lavaca, Ark.; mother Vickey Woods of Prescott, Ark.; three sons: Alexander Woods, Nicholas Woods, and John Edmond Woods III all of Lavaca, Ark., daughter, Haley Woods of Lavaca, Ark.; two sisters, Sharlene Jones of Albuquerqu­e, N.M, Victoria Woods from Magnolia, Ark.; in-laws, Johnny Ray and Kathy Simmons of Dierks, Ark., brother-in-law Danny Ray Simmons of Dierks; two nieces, two nephews, and many friends and loved ones.

–––––❖––––– PERRYVILLE — It is with a deep and heavy sadness that we announce the death of Glen Wilkins of Perryville, Arkansas, who passed away at the age of 74, on October 11, 2018. Glen was born in Little Rock on August 30, 1944, and spent the last 25 years making his home in Perry County. He was a skilled sheet metal craftsman, whose reputation as “Mr. Fix-It” was overshadow­ed only by his servant’s heart. Glen was a devoted follower of Christ, and a member of Temple Missionary Baptist Church. A perfect day for Glen included steaks on the grill, the Razorbacks on TV, and the wild laughter of his six beloved grandchild­ren.

Glen was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his bride of 37 years, Gina (McDonald) Wilkins; his sons, Alan Wilkins and Brian Henley; his daughters, Alison (Wilkins) Knight and Marie (Henley) Shapley; his sons-in-law, Dillon Knight and Jeremy Shapley; his grandchild­ren, Rocky, Lou, Sam, Ezra, Lane and Ollie; and his siblings, Faydene Gray, Mike Wilkins, and Garry Wilkins.

–––––❖––––– WARREN — James Harold Bryant, 84, of Warren, went home to be with the Lord October, 12, 2018, in Hot Springs, Ark. He was born July 2, 1934, in Parnell Springs, Arkansas, to the late James Edgar Bryant and Orrie Clide Warren Bryant. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Billy Gene Bryant.

Harold was a retired Constructi­on Coordinato­r for Georgia Pacific. He loved to work, fish and spend time with his great-grandchild­ren. He was a member of the Men’s Sunday School Class at Immanuel Baptist Church of Warren.

He is survived by his wife, Dean Hoyle Bryant of 63 years, daughter, Glenda White (Ron) of Hot Springs, son, Wade Bryant (Jacqueline) of Sheridan, grandchild­ren, James White (Victoria) of Hot Springs, Josh Bryant (Katy) of Warren and Brittany Hackett (Crockett) of Greenbrier, Ark., and six great-grandchild­ren.

Active Pallbearer­s are James White, Josh Bryant, Crockett Hackett, Mark Gery, Roger McClellan and Monty Balentine. Honorary Pallbearer­s are John Parrott, Bud Frey, Roger George, Jeff Vickers and the Men’s Sunday School Class at Immanuel Baptist Church.

–––––❖––––– WATSON — Harold Don “H.D.” Spainhouer, 76, of Watson, Ark., passed away October 10, 2018, in Hot Springs, Ark. H.D. was born on April 29, 1942, in Watson to the late Robert Sylvester and Lina Mae Rana Spainhouer. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Dumas and a local farmer and retired after 51 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Steven Spainhouer, three brothers, Bobby, Jim Bill and Jap and three sisters, Opal, Millie and Mary Jane. Survivors are his loving wife of 55 years Carolyn Rupe Spainhouer, one son, Shawn Spainhouer, two grandchild­ren, Alex and Zack Spainhouer, and a host of nieces, nephews and special friends.

–––––❖––––– WEST FORK — Gary Dean Fulton, 65, of West Fork, went home to be with Jesus on October 11th in Fayettevil­le. He was born October 22, 1952 in Memphis, Tenn., to Lyle and Edith Fulton.

Gary and his family moved back from the mission field in 1999. He spent his adult life serving the Lord, loving people, and pointing them to Christ. For the past three years, Gary and Susan have been running Love Beyond Borders, a ministry based non-profit that sends church groups to Central America.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two infant brothers. Survivors include: his wife Susan of 45 years; six children: Stephen Fulton (Robin), Elizabeth Cunningham (Jeff), Andrew Fulton (Alyse), Caleb Fulton (Mishael), Abigail Vargas (Cito), and Gabriela Dixon (Mike); 10 grandchild­ren, one great-grandchild; three siblings: Ronnie Fulton (Loretta), Jackie Fulton (Toni), and Tammy Horne (Steve); one sister-in-law, Janet Woods (Richard); eight nieces and nephews; and two great-nephews.

Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. on Sunday, October 14th at Farmington First Baptist and the Funeral will be at 1 p.m. on Monday, October 15th at Farmington First Baptist.
