Possum Poot drivel

-

Finally some rain came and washed away all the Cheeto dust (gold dust?). As promised, our glorious leader held a rally in our fair village, just not what we expected. He stated that there was no landing place for Air Force One plus there was no convenient golf course. The whole town gathered in the triple-wide town hall to watch a video rally. A great time was had by all; the greatest time ever. After all was said and done and all had filed out, he requested the town leaders to stay; we did. He thanked us for such a wonderful turnout that he estimated to be 5,000 (village only has 31 total), and was most gracious with his praise for our work here. Twice he tried quoting “Two Corinthians,” but to little avail. I stayed behind for last instructions.

He said, “Say what you want, loudly and with conviction. Say it loudly and often. Doesn’t matter whether it’s correct or not, just loud, often and always mention fake news and Hillary.”

A short time later I was nursing a drink at the local watering hole, amazed that I was given such a teaching. Now I will teach that the sky is green and the grass is blue with all my heart.

I slipped a bit in concentration and called headquarters to inquire about that beautiful eastern European lady, Anna Falacksis; she really did take my breath away. I was told that they knew of no one by that name or description. Most unsettling!

Come get righteous with us in Possum Poot. Next week we have our annual town contest called “Drivel Pursuit.” STEVE GIBSON Little Rock
