Little Rock, Arkansas. She was a lifelong member of St. Anne Catholic Church, retired from the North Little Rock School District and from Kroger. She was a woman of many talents, who loved dancing, especially doing the Polka.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Walter M. Copeland; brothers, Edward and Sylvester Piechoski and her sister, Albena Eden. She is survived by her sister, Angeline Dollar; sons, Martin (Martine) Copeland of France and Robert Copeland (Tammy Newton) of North Little Rock; grandchild­ren, Juliet Copeland and Kristin Wohner; and great-grandchild, Makynleigh Wohner.

ALEXANDER — Robert Anthony Olivo, 65, of Alexander, Ark., passed away October 27,

1953 in Paterson, New Jersey, to the late Louis

(Aleo) Olivo.

Robert was of the Catholic faith. He served in the United States Air Force. Robert loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He never met a stranger. Robert enjoyed being a merchant trader-finding bargains at flea markets, yard sales, and scrap yards. He was a handy man and repaired cars in his spare time.

Preceding Robert in death are his parents; grandparen­ts; grandson, Colton Wayne Harris; brother, Louis Olivo Jr. and his wife Barbara; and nephew, Anthony “Tony” Olivo. 2018. He was born July 13,

1949 in Malvern,

Ark. John leaves many friends and loved ones to cherish his memory. He was one of a kind to say the least and his passing will be felt by many. John was a member of Reyburn Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Glen Rose and a member in spirit at New Life Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Benton. He was a member of VFW Post #2256 in Benton and the Masonic Lodge #34 in Benton.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Lonard and Wilma Sims; brother, Herbert Sims and a sister, Betty Gookin. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Crouch Sims and three sisters, Diane Robey, Sandie Litton and Shirley Hall.

Pallbearer­s will be Johnny Jacobs, Norman Oetken, Doug Lawrence, Bryson Tittle, Brett Tittle, Danny Drebert, Ronnie Weeks and Jason Gault. Honorary pallbearer­s will be Fred Ausburn, Mac McCall, Todd Gookin, Heath Hall, Blake Litton, Kevin Sims, Wade Hall and Bud Shelnut.

She was a retired rural mail carrier and member of New Salem Missionary Baptist Church.

Gelene worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 43-plus years. She loved the Lord and all of her family. Her church family also held a very special place in her heart. She played the piano for church services all of her adult life. She was well known for making everyone feel special by sending cards for all occasions.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Joshua Hoffpauir. Survivors are sons, Jeffrey (Terrie) Kirkman of Lonoke and Bradley Kirkman of White Hall; daughters, Melanie (Mark) Hoffpauir of Benton and Gala (Bryan) Kizzire of Stuttgart; brother, Jackie (Mary Jo) Fortune of Jonesboro; sister, Lucile (Tommie) Kinsey of Casscoe; eight grandchild­ren; and six great-grandchild­ren.

–––––❖––––– MONTICELLO — Dr. Cecil Clyde Haywood, age 90, of Monticello, Arkansas went to his heavenly home on October 27,

2018 while residing in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Cecil Haywood is survived by his brother, U.S.A.F.

Colonel Floyd H. Haywood Jr., retired of Fairfax Station, Va.; his daughter, Barbara Burry of New Town, N.D.; his son, Charles Haywood of Jenks, Okla., and step-daughter, Agnes McKinney of Conway, Ark. Cecil has six grandchild­ren and 10 great-grandchild­ren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dr. Francess Annie Bates-McKinney-Haywood; his parents, Floyd H. and Cora Shumate-Haywood; daughter Cynthia Haywood-Loy. He was also preceded in death by sisters, Ada Mae Haywood-Morgan and Margaret Haywood-Griffith; brothers, Ernest Haywood, Archie Haywood, Lee R. Haywood, Samuel Haywood, and Warren Haywood.

Cecil was born on July 9, 1928 near Charleston, Arkansas, the youngest of nine children of a sharecropp­ing family. Cecil played football and graduated from Charleston High School. He served in the Army after World War II in Germany. He graduated college, and went on to obtain his Masters in school administra­tion, and an Educationa­l Doctorate degree from the University of Arkansas.

Cecil married Etta Mae Brinkley-Haywood-Martin, and they had three children. He divorced, and later married Francess Annie McKinney in 1971. Cecil and Francess lived in Monticello, Arkansas, worked at the University, and worshiped at the First Baptist Church. Cecil retired in 1993 as the Dean of Education.

Cecil and Francess remained in Monticello after retiring. Cecil enjoyed fishing, playing cards, and his many visits from his children and their families. He authored two novels, and a book of poetry, and received honors as a national poet of merit.

A graveside service is scheduled for Thursday, November 1, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Mack’s Chapel Cemetery in Sulphur Rock, Ark. Arrangemen­ts by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville, Ark.

He was preceded in death by his grandmothe­r, Wanda Autry, and grandfathe­r, James Mahoney. She is survived by four sons, Frank Patton of Wilmore, Kentucky, David Perrette of Tokeland, Washington, Doug Perrette and Dennis Perrette, both of Ward; one daughter, June Burke of Beebe; 32 grandchild­ren, 23 great-grandchild­ren, 51 great-great-grandchild­ren; and sister, Louise Caldwell of California. Edna was preceded in death by her husband Paul Perrette Sr., son Paul Perrette Jr. and daughter, Helen Grimmer.

–––––❖––––– WEST MEMPHIS — William H. “Billy” Hundhausen Jr. of West Memphis, 99, died on October 29, 2018, at Briarwood Nursing Center in Little Rock.

He was born on July 31, 1919,

the first recorded male birth in West Memphis. The son of the late William

H. Hundhausen, former

West Memphis

Mayor, and Genevieve Flynn Hundhausen, who were among West Memphis early residents. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Dolores “Sis” Hundhausen Young, and daughter-inlaw, Rosa Smith Hundhausen.

A graduate of Hulbert High School, Billy entered military service in December 1942 and served with the U.S. Army Transporta­tion Corp in England, Scotland and France. Upon discharge, with the rank of Sergeant, in December 1945, he returned to West Memphis and joined his father in the grocery business. In 1958 Mr. Hundhausen was elected Crittenden County Circuit Court Clerk and served in that position for ten years. In May, 1968, Mr. Hundhausen was appointed West Memphis Postmaster. During his tenure the new post office building on East Cooper at N. 7th Street was erected. In 1978 after ten years of service he retired from the post office. In 1980 he was elected to the Arkansas House of Representa­tives and served one term before retiring. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion. An avid sportsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a charter member of the Hughes Hunting and Fishing Club. Mr. Hundhuasen was a communican­t of St. Michael’s Catholic Church.

Billy loved West Memphis and was very proud of his family’s history and contributi­on in founding and developmen­t of the city.

He is survived by his son, Jan L. Hundhausen of Metuchen, N.J.; grandsons, Evan Christophe­r Hundhausen of Boulder, Colo.; and William Flynn Hundhausen, wife Eryana, and great-grandson, Aaron Leonard of Brooklyn, N.Y.; and four nephews, William H. Young and wife Lawrence, Robert P. Young and Dan C. Young and fiancee Catherine Robinson of Little Rock; James W. Young III of Mt. Dora, Fla.; and grand-nieces, grand-nephew, and great-grandniece­s and nephews.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, November 2, 2018, at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home with services at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 3, 2018, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in West Memphis with burial following at Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion.

The family wishes to express their gratitude to the caring doctors, nurses, social workers and staff of Kindred Hospice and Briarwood Nursing Facility for the love and care provided.
