Workshops to focus on grant procedures
The Arkansas Economic Development Commission will host five workshops across the state this month regarding procedures for applying for grants.
The workshops will also serve as initial public notice of funding availability through the competitive cycle of the 2019 General Assistance program.
The General Assistance program is designed to provide some cities and counties with the opportunity to apply for grant assistance for public works and public-facility projects that are not covered under other funding categories.
Meeting dates and locations are: today at the Arkansas Municipal League in North Little Rock, 301 W. Second St.; Nov. 13 at the community center in Dumas, 18 Belmont St.; Nov. 14 at the Newport Economic Development Commission in Newport, 201 Hazel St.; Nov. 15 at the community center in Mulberry, 29 Kirksey Parkway; and Nov. 16 at City Hall in Hope, 206 W. Ave. A.
Each workshop begins at 10 a.m. and is free and open to the public. No registration is required.
