KATHRYN BIGGERS BAERTSCH, 94, of Little Rock went to be with the Lord November 17, 2018. She was born on December 23, 1923, to Elwyn and Hattie Biggers.

Kathryn loved spending time with her family and working in her church. She was a member of Highland Valley United Methodist Church where she was involved in many activities and taught Sunday School. Sewing, gardening and shopping were a few of her favorite things.

Kathryn was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Evelyn Courtenay. She is survived by her devoted husband; Robert J. Baertsch, daughter; Janice McMillan (David) and sister; Miriam Bilheimer.

–––––❖––––– MABLE DALE WINNINGHAM BENTON, 95, of North Little Rock, passed away on November 17, 2018. She was born October 10, 1923, to the late Earl and Gertrude Winningham. Mable taught first, second, and third grades, had a passion for art, music, gardening and was a wonderful cook.

She is survived by her children, Dwight Benton (Vickie), Betty Seymour, and Thomas Benton (Noelle); four grandchild­ren, Tyler, Jeff, Hillary and Andrew, three great-grandchild­ren, Alley, Tristen, and D.J.; and one great-great-grandson, Wyatt. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Merl; two sisters, Myrtle and Madge; grandson, Dan; son-in-law, Pat Seymour.

–––––❖––––– RANDALL (RANDY) PATRICK GIVENS, 73, of Little Rock, passed away November 16, 2018. He was born February 1, 1945, in Harrell, Arkansas, to Henry Turner Givens and Nellie Faye Ferguson Givens. Randy graduated from Conroe High School in 1963. He retired from East-Harding Constructi­on in 2011 after 30 years as a Constructi­on Superinten­dent.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Donald Givens. He is survived by two sons, Pat (Robyn) and Darren Givens; two sisters, Barbara (Roy) Croft and Linda (Buddy) Holbrook; sister-in-law, Pam Givens; two grandsons, Turner and Andy Givens; granddaugh­ter, Tara Givens; two very special friends, Vicki Hedrick and Matt Callaway; and many nieces, nephews, and friends that loved him dearly.

–––––❖––––– JAMES MICHAEL LIVEZEY, 67, of Jacksonvil­le, passed away November 17, 2018. Born in Independen­ce, Missouri, to Wayne and Phyllis Brown Livezey, he was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and a former security guard for Razorback Security of Little Rock.

He is survived by his wife, Charlene Livezey; son, Mark Livezey of Independen­ce; daughter, Elizabeth Ann Zerra of Kansas City, Missouri; six grandchild­ren and one great-grandchild on the way.

–––––❖––––– DONALD F. WILLS JR., 71, of Jacksonvil­le, passed from this life on Friday, November 16, 2018. He was born Tuesday, July 22, 1947, in Hunter, Arkansas, to Donald F. Wills Sr. and Nerva Walker. Donald’s greatest joy in his life was his family and friends. He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Betty Wills; brothers, Deri and Dennis Wills; and sisters, Marvis Depew, Jan Leal, Pat Scott, Pixie Wiggs, Margaret Thompson and Gina Gilmore. Other survivors include three brothers-in-law, Rueben, Wayne, and Tim Pierce; and a host of other family and friends.

Arkansas

BEEBE — SGT Adam David Wright, age 32, of Beebe, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord November 11, 2018, at Camp Casey, South Korea.

Adam spent most of his days in Beebe, Arkansas, where he discovered his love for animals, martial arts, the guitar, and family and friends. Adam graduated from Beebe High School in May of 2005. He went on to further his education to obtain multiple associate degrees from Arkansas State University — Beebe and a bachelor degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Military Science from Arkansas State University — Jonesboro. While attending college, Adam joined the ROTC program and enlisted in the Arkansas National Guard. Upon graduation he was commission­ed as an officer on May 17, 2014. On July 24, 2017, Adam’s life forever changed as he held his newborn daughter, Achele Alexandria Wright. In November 2017 he resigned his commission as first lieutenant in the Arkansas Army National Guard to go active Army with the desire to serve America in a foreign country. Adam was then deployed to Camp Casey, South Korea, where he served as a multiple launch rocket system gunner.

Adam’s awards and decoration­s include: Army Achievemen­t Medal, National Defense Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and the Army Service Ribbon, Army Reserve Component Achievemen­t Medal, and Arkansas Military Funeral Honors Service Ribbon (2).

Adam is survived by his wife, Heather Wright, and daughter, Achele Alexandria Wright, of Austin; grandfathe­r, Allen McIntyre of Cabot; mother, Leah (Scott) Kloss of Beebe; father, David (Jennifer) Wright of Salem, Ohio; special dad, George Moore of Beebe; brother, Seth Moore of Beebe; sisters, Marrisa (Brian) Morris of Salem, Ohio, Alyssa Wright of Salem, Ohio and, Maggie (Matt) Dent of Beebe; and a host of family and friends. Adam is preceded in death by his grandmothe­r, Linda McIntyre; and uncle, Eric McIntyre.

–––––❖––––– CABOT — Emmett E. Gentry, 84, of Cabot, Arkansas, passed away November 16, 2018, at Baptist Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was born February 26, 1934, in Benton, Arkansas, to Wakley and Myrtle Gentry.

Mr. Gentry was a United States Army Veteran, had an honorable discharge and was a member of the American Legion. He retired from Safeway as produce manager. He enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, birds, cats, dogs, and plants.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Wakley and Myrtle Grant Gentry; one son, Eugene Gentry; two brothers, Nolan Gentry and J.W. Gentry; and one sister, Janice Wise. He is survived by the love of his life, Betty Glosson Gentry, whom he was married to for 63 years; one daughter and son-in-law, Tamya and Donny Newberry, of North Little Rock; two sisters, Elma Jean Raper, of Benton, and Phyllis Howe, of Lonsdale; daughterin-law, Kay Gentry, of Sherwood; three granddaugh­ters, Donya Alexander, of North Little Rock, Michelle Crites and Carolyn Pinegar of Nixa, Missouri; two grandsons, Brian Newberry of Bryant, and Dusty Hankins of Sherwood; five great-grandsons and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

–––––❖––––– FAYETTEVIL­LE — Claibourne Watkins Bass, 78, passed away November 13 in Fayettevil­le. He was born December 14, 1939 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Walter Richard Bass and Mildred Walker Bass. He graduated from Little Rock Central High School in 1957. Clay joined the U.S. Air Force in March of 1962, and he served during the Cuban missile crisis at Little Rock AFB.

As a young man Clay was involved with the Boy Scouts of America, attaining the rank of Eagle Scout in 1956. He also served as Troop leader of Boy Scout Troop 1 in the Western Boy Scout Council in Ft. Smith in 1970 and was leader of Troop 8 from 1971-1972.

He graduated from the University of Arkansas in 1968, earning a BS in Industrial Management. In 1972, Clay moved to Fayettevil­le and bought The Highroller Cyclery, which he operated as owner/manager until 1992. He sold that business in 2007 and retired to a full life of managing his rental property with his wife, Cathy. Clay was happiest when he was in his shop helping a friend with a repair or starting a new project.

Clay is survived by his wife Catherine W. Bass; his son Jon Bass of Portland, Oregon; his brother Hugh Bass (Rita) of Springfiel­d, Illinois and Punta Gorda, Florida; three step-children, Amanda Tieaskie (Jeff), Max Moore (Kelly), Wendy Dunn (Whitley) all of Fayettevil­le; nine grandchild­ren and a great-granddaugh­ter. He is preceded in death by four siblings, Walter R. Bass Jr. of Kansas City, Missouri; Anne Bass Fulk, Cooper Bass and Robert Bass, all of Little Rock.

HOT SPRINGS — Janie Sue Reynolds, age 70, of Hot Springs, passed away on Friday, November 16, 2018. She was born January 31, 1948 in Camden, Arkansas to Trula Faye and Thomas Garner. Janie was a kind and loving wife, mother, grandmothe­r and friend. She was happiest when her family gathered for special occasions and she enjoyed the simple things in life. She was a member of Hot Springs Baptist church, a devoted Christian and depended on God’s mercy and love during her prolonged illness.

She is preceded in death by her father and mother. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Collins Reynolds of Hot Springs; son and daughter-inlaw Ricky and Melanie Reynolds of Conway; grandsons, Tyler and Cole Reynolds; brother and sister-in-law, Randy and Angela Garner of Clarksvill­e; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

–––––❖––––– LOWELL — Vicky Sue Curtis Jones took her final breath on Friday November 16, 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born on June 28, 1953 to Charles Vernon Curtis and Betty Singley Curtis. Vicky was preceded in death by her grandparen­ts, Sam and Ella Curtis, Sam and Estelle Singley; father Charles Vernon Curtis, and brother, Terry Curtis.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Randy Jones; mother, Betty Curtis; children, Mason (Britany) Hargett and Callie (Adam) Fletcher; grandchild­ren, Kelsey and Westin Fletcher; siblings, Kelly Curtis and Sherry (Larry) Edwards; nephew Blake Edwards; nieces, Audrey (Nick) Villegas, Samantha (Travis) Herbner, Rebekah Curtis, and Elissa (Brian) Romines.

Vicky was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, “sassy”, sister, and aunt. She brought life and laughter into our lives and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

–––––❖––––– MONTICELLO — Stephen Lee “Stevie Lee” Wilson, age 62, of Monticello, passed away Saturday, November 17, 2018 at his home. He was born March 6, 1956 in Monticello, Ark. to Tommie Waites Wilson and the late Aubrey Fred Wilson Sr.

He was a retired pipeline worker and was of the Assembly of God faith. In addition to his father, he was also preceded in

death by his wife, Gena Renee Ward Wilson; an infant granddaugh­ter; and one nephew, Kevin Jones. Stevie Lee loved to be at the barn taking care of his animals, cutting hay or working on one of his many projects. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, cutting hay and spending time with his grand babies. He also had many friends whom he enjoyed being with.

Survivors include two daughters, Joanna Butler and husband Karl of Monticello and Heather Wilson and husband Matt Foster of Wilmar; his mother, Tommie Wilson of Wilmar; two sisters, Janice Jones of Rogers and Sandra Fortenberr­y of Fairfield Bay; one brother, Aubrey Fred Wilson Jr. of Dallas, Texas; three grandsons, Ty Butler, Dakota Forrest and William Lee Butler; three granddaugh­ters, Kendall Wilson, Madison Elliott and Ellie Jo Foster; two nieces, two nephews and many cousins, other relatives and friends.
