SATURDAY Lighting festival
North Little Rock’s Argenta Arts District is hosting the Northern Lights Festival, 5-7 p.m. Saturday, including the lighting of the main Christmas tree across from the Argenta Community Theater, 405 Main St., and live trees along Main from the North Little Rock Chamber of Commerce in the 100 block to Seventh Street. Cast members from the theater’s production of A Christmas Carol, opening Dec. 7, will be in costume for photos. The event will also feature seasonal music, craft booths, food trucks, face painting and carolers. Organizers also include the city of North Little Rock, the Chamber of Commerce and the North Little Rock Convention and Visitors Bureau. Admission is free. SUNDAY Dance band

Misbehavin’ auditions
The Weekend Theater, West Seventh and Chester streets, Little Rock. will hold auditions for Ain’t Misbehavin’: The Fats Waller Musical Show (conceived by Richard Maltby Jr. and Murray Horwitz with music by Thomas “Fats” Waller), 10 a.m. Dec. 1 and 6 p.m. Dec. 2. Director Danette Scott Perry will cast three women and two men, black or Hispanic, age 18 and older. Auditioners should provide a head shot and sheet music for the accompanist, and be prepared to sing 32 bars of a song in the style of the show. TICKETS Jackson rescheduled
The Walmart AMP, 5079 W. Northgate Road, Rogers, has rescheduled for Aug. 9 a concert by country singer Alan Jackson, originally set for Sept. 22 and postponed after Jackson’s son-in-law died.
