BRYANT — The Boys & Girls Clubs of Bryant will kick off the holiday season with the first ever Christmas Cash Bingo Bash from 6-9 p.m. Thursday at Bishop Park.

“We wanted to do something that would get the community involved, and we felt this would be something fun to do but could also benefit the club,” said Karissa McDonald, director of development for the club. “It is a good community event that will bring everybody together and allow people of all ages to come out and enjoy.”

Tickets for the event are $20 in advance or $25 at the door, for the first 16 games. For an additional $2 each, guests can pay to play games 17 through 20. McDonald said the winner of those games will earn a larger cash prize than for the first 16 games. She said the grand prize is $1,000.

“We have had a good response,” McDonald said. “Everybody — from our community members to senior citizens and even our club parents — is excited about it.

“This is something almost anyone can participate in.”

Derek Phillips, director of operations for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Bryant, said all the proceeds from the event will go directly back into the club.

The event is open to those who are 18 and older. There will also be a 50-50 raffle for a cash prize.

Child care will be available for children ages 3 and older for a donation to the club. BankOZK will serve food from the concession stand.

“It is going to be a good fun event that people can do,” McDonald said. “It is an opportunity for guests to have fun with their friends and family and, hopefully, win some Christmas cash.”
