Historian to speak on New London
EL DORADO — A historian will present a lecture on his family history in America and England, and history about New London, a co-county seat, along with El Dorado, of Union County during the 19th century.
The lecture is scheduled for 2 p.m. today during a Union County Genealogical Society meeting at Barton Public Library, 200 E. Fifth St.
Guest speaker Larry Frisby grew up on a farm in the New London community that has been in his family since 1843. He graduated from Strong public schools, Ouachita Baptist University and the University of Tennessee School of Dentistry. He is a fellow of the Pierre Fauchard Academy International.
Genealogical Society members can collect their winter issue of Tracks and Traces at the meeting.
The meeting is open to the public.
