ALEXANDER — Martha Ann Venable, 84, of Alexander, was welcomed into the Lord’s arms on February

7th, 2019. She was born on December 30th,

1934 to parents

Orville and

Ione Moody in Clinton, Arkansas. Those left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband: Billy Ross Venable of Alexander; four daughters: Cheryl (Dennis) Freeman of Traskwood, Janet (Gary) McPherson of North Little Rock, Cindy (Tony) Straughn and Terrie (Steve) Whatley of Benton; thirteen grandchild­ren, thirty-one great-grandchild­ren, and two great-great grandchild­ren. Martha’s visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 12th, 2019 from 6-8 PM and the funeral will occur the following day, Wednesday, February 13th at 1 PM, both at Crystal Hill Baptist Church (18823 Crystal Valley Road, Little Rock, Ark., 72210). Martha will be laid to rest immediatel­y after the service at Forest Hills Cemetery (10200 AR-5, Alexander, Ark., 72002).

–––––❖––––– CONWAY — Regenia L. Brown Willard, 87, of Conway, went to be with her Lord and Savior on

Friday, February 8, 2019. She was born on November 24th,

1931 in Mountain Home, Arkansas to Linton Brown and

Gladys Lovelady Brown. She married the love of her life,

Bobby Willard, on August 25th, 1956 and they spent 46 amazing years together before his passing in 2003.

Left to cherish her memory is her two daughters, Debora (Terry) Tew and Toni (Danny) Compton; three grandchild­ren, Chris Osburn, Heather (Kevin) Key, and Brittany Lunsford, and five great-grandchild­ren, Alicia, Xavier, Braiden, Jaren and Kadin. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one granddaugh­ter, and many family members.

The family wants to extend a special thank-you to Heritage Living Center staff and nurses for the care they provided for her over the last four years.

Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Monday, February 11, 2019 at Smith-Sherwood Funeral Home, 7700 Hwy 107, Sherwood, Arkansas with her Celebratio­n of Life starting at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. –––––❖––––– HOPE — Mr. Bobby Sam “Bob” Chambless, age 86 of Hope, Arkansas, passed away Friday February 8, 2019, in Little Rock Arkansas. Mr. Chambless was born on June 11, 1932, in Prescott, Arkansas, to T. L. and Mary Trexler Chambless. He was a veteran of the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was retired owner operator of B and P Roto Rooter, worked for Roto Rooter in Little Rock, Arkansas, for many years and a member of New Life Pentecosta­l Church. He enjoyed watching old time westerns and hanging out with his many friends at his favorite coffee shop. He is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Janice Chambless and Betty Bain.

Survivors include; wife, Pat Chambless of 59 years, daughter Lisa Keeton, husband William, son, Scott Chambless, wife Stephanie all of Hope, Arkansas, four grandchild­ren, Blake Simmons, Aaron Cox, Grayson Chambless, Evan Chambless and a host of family and friends.

–––––❖––––– SPARKMAN — Dorothy Shirron Denton, age 100, of Sparkman, passed away on Saturday, February 9,

2019. She was born January

29, 1919 in the

Mt. Olivet Community near Sparkman, one of twelve children to the late Jim and Sally Shaddock Shirron. She was a longtime faithful member of Sparkman United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years. She served as Sparkman School’s Dietician for nearly 20 years. Her dedication to the church was well known as was her dedication to her family. Dorothy enjoyed cooking for her family and friends until shortly before her 100th birthday.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-seven years, Zola “Sport” Denton; daughter, Betty Daily; son, Danny Denton and grandson, Steve Daily. She was also preceded by six brothers, Guy, Bo, Clyde, Benny, Melvin and Morgan Shirron; four sisters, Elizabeth Dunlap Judson, Orabell St. John, Alpha St. John and Versie Key Tilly.

Survivors include one son, Donny (Irma) Denton of Sparkman; one sister, Frances Grisham of Camden; son-in-law, Herb (Nancy) Daily of Little Rock; daughter-in-law Judy Denton Campbell (sons, Cole and Ash) of Cane Hill; nine grandchild­ren, Dave (Teri) Daily of Clarksvill­e, Danette (Allan) Kemp of Fordyce, Deann (Lane) Denison of Greenwood, Duane (Megan) Denton of Appling, Georgia, Kenna (Allen) Warren of Brooklyn, New York, Kimberly (Randy) Davis of Muskogee, Oklahoma, Kyle (Natalie) Graumann of Little Rock, Todd

(Amy) Denton of Roland and Gina (Charlie) Schaef of Roland; a granddaugh­ter-in-law, Linda Daily (Doug) of Little Rock; 21 great-grandchild­ren; three great-great grandchild­ren and numerous nieces and nephews.
