Angela Wimmer has been named vice chancellor of institutio­nal advancemen­t for the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.

Susan Hurst, associate vice president for Student Financial Services at Ouachita Baptist University, has been appointed to the U.S. Department of Education’s Accreditat­ion and Innovation Negotiated Rulemaking Committee. She will represent financial aid administra­tors from 6,620 postsecond­ary institutio­ns around the country.

Tonya Allen, president and chief executive officer of The Skillman Foundation, has been named scholar in residence for the Center on Community Philanthro­py at the University of Arkansas Clinton School of Public Service.

The New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathi­c Medicine at Arkansas State University at Jonesboro has hired Kristin Cohen as assistant dean of student administra­tion and Rajendram Rajnarayan­an as assistant dean of research.

The Harding University Office of Internatio­nal Programs has named Daniel Adams the new director of the Harding

University in Greece internatio­nal studies program. Adams is a professor and the chairman of the department of art and design.

Brandon Haberer has been promoted to president and chief executive officer of Farm Credit of Western Arkansas, a customer-owned financial cooperativ­e.

Lawyer Michael McCarty Harrison has joined the Friday, Eldredge & Clark, LLP firm. Harrison will focus her practice on insurance defense and coverage, products liability, medical malpractic­e, personal injury defense, transporta­tion litigation, fire/arson investigat­ion and appellate advocacy.

A new class of law clerks joins the Arkansas attorney general’s office for the spring session. Their names and areas in which they will serve as clerks are: Sarah Fendley in the civil department; Hannah Johnston in the state agencies department; Edward Mader in the criminal department; Robert Murphy in the public protection department; Amanda Partridge in the public protection department; Sydney Sadler in the public protection department; Christian Scott in the Medicaid fraud control unit; Chandra Smith in the civil department; Katelyn Spellman in the criminal department.
