SEARCY — Harding University announced several leadership changes across multiple colleges and departments. The changes are a result of the university’s commitment to developing faculty for leadership roles.

McGalliard has served as director of the physical-therapy doctoral program since its inception in 2010 and replaces Beckie Weaver, who will retire from the university at the end of June.

Kevin Ramey was named chair of the department of physical therapy, effective May 13.

Ramey, who came to Harding in 2011, previously served as director of clinical education in the physical-therapy program and replaces McGalliard.

Ruth Ann Mathis replaced Ramey as director of clinical education in the physical-therapy program, effective May 13. Mathis joined the university faculty in 2012 and served as assistant director of clinical education.

Heath Carpenter has been named director of the integrative studies degree program at Harding University, effective June 11. The integrative studies major is intended to give students the ability to design their own degrees. Carpenter will continue to serve as a faculty member in the English department.
