■ Matthew Sloan, 33, accused of running naked in front of onlookers at an outdoor concert venue in Nashville, Tenn., faces charges that include assaulting an officer and public indecency after he punched one officer and spit at another while being arrested, police said.

■ Anthony Gibbs, a police sergeant in Guthrie, Okla., said an officer found a rattlesnak­e, a canister of radioactiv­e powdered uranium and an open bottle of whiskey during a traffic stop that resulted in the driver being arrested on a charge of driving a stolen vehicle and other counts.

■ Deanna Cantrell, the police chief of San Luis Obispo, Calif., revealed in a social media video that she left her handgun in a restaurant restroom where it was stolen, saying her actions were irresponsi­ble and dangerous and she expects to be held accountabl­e.

■ Mark Stinziano of West Milford, N.J., is promising his neighbor’s dog, Riley, a steak after his home security camera recorded the dog racing into his backyard and ramming into a startled black bear as it snacked from a bird feeder and then chasing the bruin away.

■ Eric Vail, 28, mistakenly released six weeks ago from a Fort Lauderdale, Fla., jail where he was being held on murder charges, was recaptured after investigat­ors tracked him to a mobile home in Jessup, Ga., authoritie­s said.

■ Delores Amorino of Youngwood, Pa., accused of beating her 78-year-old mother and shaving her head because the older woman was listening to a Pittsburgh Steelers’ game too loudly on the radio, wants a judge to dismiss the case, claiming that Amorino’s 19-year-old daughter did it.

■ Melinda Thomas, 39, said she and her husband saw a 3-foot-long alligator in their front yard, a rarity for south St. Louis, and after he poked it with a broomstick to make sure it was real, they called animal control, which captured it.

■ Jennifer Yeager, 49, of Dixon, Ill., accused of letting her two young daughters ride inside an inflated pool atop her SUV when she moved it from a friend’s house to her own, has been charged with child endangerme­nt, police said.

■ Kenderick Hill, 30, of Opelika, Ala., faces first-degree kidnapping and other charges after police said he posted a video viewed widely on social media of him abducting a 31-year-old man, tying him to a chair and then setting the ground under the chair on fire.
