New Eagle Scouts

Mohammed Abuelem, 16, is the son of Dr. Tarek Abuelem and Dr. Shireen Khalaf of Little Rock. He is a member of Troop 12 in Little Rock at Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church. He assembled 100 first-aid and hygiene kits for Syrian refugees.

Hunter Carlton, 15, is the son of Stewart and Angie Carlton of Scott.

He is a member of Troop 18 in North Little Rock at First United Methodist Church. Hunter partnered with Toltec Mounds Archeologi­cal State Park and took the lead on researchin­g, constructi­ng and installing a primitive cedar log structure that supports Purple Martin houses.

Caleb Coletti, 18, is the son of Robert and Anne Coletti of Little Rock. He is a member of Troop 99 in Little Rock at Grace Church.

Caleb’s project benefited First Tee of Central Arkansas. Caleb built new signs and hand-carved and hand-painted plaques for each hole and the driving range.

Chandler Compton, 17, is the son of Tony and Patty Compton of Little Rock. He is a member of Troop 30 in Little Rock at St. Paul United Methodist Church. Chandler built a trail at Lake Nixon Summer Day Camp in Little Rock. The trail connected the main camp to a newly built chapel for campers.

Steven Ingels, 17, is the son of Steve and Pat Ingels of North Little Rock. He is a member of Troop 18 in North Little Rock at First United Methodist Church.

Steven built three concrete memorial benches for Old Liberty Cemetery near Cleveland, northeast of Russellvil­le.

Michael Jones, 18, is the son of Jerry and Tabatha Jones of Craighead County. He is a member of Troop 890 at Brookland, northeast of Jonesboro. Michael built a sensory garden for special needs students at a Brookland school. It is tall enough to use with students in wheelchair­s.

Wyatt Kernodle, 18, is the son of Glenn and Randi-Kaye Kernodle of Cabot. He is a member of Troop 201 in Cabot at Cabot Church of Christ. Wyatt coordinate­d, designed, and led a project to paint educationa­l games on the blacktop area behind the school.

Jack Peterson, 17, is the son of Roy and Allyson Peterson of Little Rock. He is a member of Troop 30 in Little Rock at St. Paul United Methodist Church. Jack designed and constructe­d an open air chapel at Lake Nixon Outdoor Center in Little Rock.

Braden Pierce, 16, is the son of Donovan and Tammy Pierce of Mabelvale. He is a member of Troop 17 in Bryant at First United Methodist Church.

His project involved the constructi­on of a recycling station, the replacemen­t of recycling bins and the tear-down of a former aluminum recycle bin.

Sam Sellers, 18, is the son of Sam and Holly Sellers of Little Rock. He is a member of Troop 30 in Little Rock at St. Paul United Methodist Church. Sam raised a garden complex and outdoor classroom at The Anthony School in Little Rock.
