FRANCES NOREEN EVANS was born September 14, 1923, in Las Cruces, N.M., to Tommy Lee Rhyne and Leola May Miles Rhyne. She died on August 10, 2019 at Parkway Health Center in Little Rock at the age of 95. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Bobbie Aileen Rhyne Richardson (Kenneth), a brother, Owen Lee Rhyne (Carol), and a grandson, Robert Lewis Hicks, Jr. She is survived by daughter Cindy Boyles (Dickie), their children and families, Christy Risius (Dave), Allison and Nathan; Kevin Boyles (Wendi), Bailey, Kelsey, Macy, and Miley; son Robert Hicks (Pam), Keri Gee (Todd), Jesse; Lori Palmintier, Trip and Violet; and daughter Debbie Kluck (Wesley), Jennifer Hopkins (Seth), Carli. Norene’s life centered on her family, faith and church. She was employed by Arkansas Lighthouse for the Blind and Koppers Company.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m., followed by an 11 a.m. Funeral, on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at Calvary Baptist Church, 5025 Lynch Drive in North Little Rock. –––––❖––––– NOLAN (JOE) E. WOMBLE was born in Little Rock, Ark., on October 8, 1940, to the late Vance and Blanche Womble. After surviving numerous illnesses, he passed away August 9, 2019. He was in the hospital trying to get strong enough to fight one more battle. His recent diagnosis of leukemia. After graduating from UCA in 1965, with a BS in Biology and Chemistry, he worked as a Cardio-Vascular Perfusioni­st at the VA Hospital, UAMS, St. Vincent’s Hospital, and Arkansas Children’s Hospital. Joe was an avid fisherman and for friends of his son and grandson, to go fishing with Mr. Joe was a highlight not soon to be forgotten. To quote a friend, “I cherished his advice and always looked forward to his one liners that never quit coming”. A member of Park Hill Presbyteri­an Church he loved the scriptures and the old hymns. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Sarah Womble, son Jody Womble (Paige), grandson Josh Womble, granddaugh­ter Chloe Womble, sister-in-law Carolyn Nash (Roy) and niece Amy Nash. Along with his family he leaves numerous friends that were blessed to have rubbed shoulders with him. A visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m., Tuesday August 13, at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills, 7724 Landers Road, North Little Rock. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday August 14 at Park Hill Presbyteri­an Church, 3520 JFK Blvd, North Little Rock.
