Amy Helm will perform at 8 p.m. today at South on Main in Little Rock. Tickets are $30, $38 or $40.
She is the daughter of legendary Arkansas native Levon Helm of The Band, and singer-songwriter Libby Titus, and the stepdaughter of Titus’ husband, Donald Fagen of Steely Dan. She began her career as a member of her father’s band, The Barn Burners (who did a show at Little Rock’s now-closed Cajun’s Wharf). She then co-founded Ollabelle, a critically acclaimed folk/gospel group that released three albums between 2004-11.
Helm released her second solo album, This Too Shall Light, in September 2018. It followed her 2015 debut, Didn’t It Rain. She has carried on her father’s legacy by producing “Midnight Ramble” concerts at his Woodstock, N.Y., studio.
■ Eliza Gilkyson will perform at 8 p.m. today at White Water Tavern in North Little Rock. Admission is $15.
Gilkyson, who is based in Austin, Texas, and is a member of the Texas Music Hall of Fame, has a musical bloodline. She is the daughter of Terry Gilkyson, who was known for his folk and Disney movie songwriting. Her brother, Tony Gilkyson, was a member of the bands Lone Justice and X. She released her first album in 1969 and has since released 23 more albums.
Her 2018 album released by Red House Records, Secularia, is, according to her publicity materials, “a collection of spiritually charged songs that do not fit within the parameters of traditional religious beliefs but challenge us to respect all life and be accountable for our actions in such perilous times.”
■ “Vibe Sessions Downtown” will be held at 8 p.m. today at Stickyz Rock ’n’ Roll Chicken Shack in Little Rock. Admission is $10.
■ Reece Sullivan will perform at 8 p.m. today at Griffin Restaurant in El Dorado. Admission is $5.
FRIDAY
Bluesboy Jag will perform
on the patio of Stickyz at 5:30 p.m. Friday in Little Rock. Admission is free.
■ R.L. Boyce, will perform, along with Lightnin’ Malcolm, at 9 p.m. Friday at White Water Tavern in Little Rock. Admission is $10.
Boyce is considered a master of Mississippi hill country blues. He grew up in Como, Miss., home of the legendary Mississippi Fred McDowell.
■ Finderz Keeperz will perform, along with Pineapplebeatz, Slith and Tactical Nuke, at 9 p.m. at Stickyz . Admission is $10 for those age 21 and over and $15 for those under age 21.
■ Jet 420 will perform at 9 p.m. Friday at the Rev Room in Little Rock. Admission is $7.
■ Relentless will perform at 9 p.m. Friday at The Big Chill in Hot Springs. Admission is $5.
■ The Great Whiskey Rendezvous will perform at 10 p.m. Friday at Four Quarter Bar in North Little Rock. Admission is $7.

Low Cut Connie, along with opening act Abby Lindsey, will perform at 7 p.m. Saturday at the MAD Amphitheater in El Dorado. Admission is free.
■ Heath Sanders, along with opening act K&S, will perform at 8:30 p.m. Saturday at King’s Live in Conway. Admission is $5.
■ The Mighty Pines will perform at 9 p.m. Saturday at Stickyz. Tickets are $10 in advance, $12 the day of the show.
■ Dee Dee Jones and Davison will perform at 9 p.m. Saturday at South on Main in Little Rock. Tickets are $10 in advance, $15 the day of the show.
