Does us a disservice

Donald Trump has invited foreign powers into our election process to assist in getting himself elected and re-elected as president. I believe he is destroying our country, our democracy, and our standing in the world.

He deserves not only to be impeached but removed from office for what he has done and continues to do to this country. A censure, as touted by his loyal abettors, will not solve the problems Trump has created and will continue to create as long as he is in office. He has abused his office for personal gain and has obstructed the impeachment process, as well as the Mueller investigation.

He and his abettors cry that he has been mistreated and hasn’t had a chance to meet with the impeachment committees to defend himself. That is a lie. It is sad we can’t believe a word the president says.

The Nixon and Clinton impeachment problems dealt with domestic politics, which is not the same as the international interference welcomed by Trump. He has cozied up to autocrats and dictators and made consequential decisions which have gravely affected our security and standing in the world as well as that of our allies. He has uplifted the status and standing of autocrats and dictators worldwide.

Remember what the old premier of the USSR Nikita Khrushchev reportedly said: “We will bury you from within.” My opinion is that Trump is a sick, corrupt Putin puppet who is helping him fulfill Khrushchev’s promise. Those voting for Trump just to get the Supreme and other courts stacked with judges who think as he does, or for a tax break, do our country a disservice. When Trump, led by the Russian bear, comes knocking, our justice system and religion will be the first things to go.
