Joseph Clyde Burton,

-

72, of Cabot, passed away Saturday, January 25, 2020, in Little Rock. He was born October 12, 1947, in Little Rock to the late Clyde and Dona Burton. Joe graduated from North Little Rock High School in 1966. He proudly served his country with the 82nd Airborne Division and was a Vietnam veteran. He spent his working career as an over-the-road truck driver.

After retirement, he delivered Meals on Wheels for Lonoke County Council on Aging Cabot (now the Peak Center). Joe loved people, especially the seniors he delivered a hot meal to each day, and they looked forward to seeing him for a quick conversation about almost anything. He had a special love of nature and was always quick to answer any question about “what’s wrong with my plant?” His creative mind was forever searching for the next project – be it in the yard, on the lake or in his shop. He loved life and all the adventure.
