BENTONVILLE — Marilyn Gail Orr Rogers,

-

77, of Bentonville, passed away Feb. 1. She was born Oct. 8, 1942, in Ash Flat where she later graduated from high school. Some of her fondest memories were of her lifelong friends who gathered for school reunions. Gail was a proud Ash Flat Eagle with a strong Christian faith.

Friendships increased as she attended Stephens College in Columbia, Mo. Her outgoing personality and ability to talk to anyone enhanced the list of friends she and her husband, Maurice, made throughout their years of employment with Cooper Communities, Inc. Even though they lived and worked in Cherokee Village, Hot Springs Village, and Bella Vista Village, this couple maintained their home and roots in Ash Flat as well as being longtime residents of northwest Arkansas. Gail was an avid Razorback fan and enjoyed travel: cruises, lake outings, and float trips.

Gail loved her family: Maurice, who preceded her in death in July 2018; her children and their spouses who survive her: Robin and Jack Curtis of Republic, Mo., and Marc and Bridget Rogers of Bentonville; and her two grandsons: Noah and Lucas Rogers. She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Maudie Appleton Orr; a brother, R.A. “Sonny” Orr; and a granddaughter, Christina Brewer.

Services: Wednesday, Feb. 5, Tri-County Funeral Home Chapel, Highland. Visitation: noon to 1 p.m. with funeral to follow. Burial: Wiles Cemetery, Ash Flat. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages memorial donations to Wiles Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 123, Ash Flat, Ark. 72513.
