SCOTT CLAYTON HELMBECK

of Sherwood, Ark., went to his eternal home on February 6, 2020. He was born on July 24, 1956 to Shelby and Jean Helmbeck. After graduating from Sylvan Hills High School, he continued his education at UALR. He started restoring cars in the mid-80’s out in the old barn on family land and in 1997, he realized his dream of owning his own Auto Restoratio­n Shop. Helmbeck Brothers Body Shop was in Gravel Ridge on Hwy. 107.

He loved going to church at The Ridge. He enjoyed travel, especially to car shows all over the country. He had a passion for collecting, building and showing cars. He preferred spending time with his family as much as possible.

Scott had a three year battle with a Glioblasto­ma Multiforme Brain Tumor. He kept a positive outlook and spend a lot of time with really great friends.

Scott is preceded in death by his father, Shelby Helmbeck. He is survived by his mother, Jean Helmbeck; wife, Annette Helmbeck and three children, Hilary McAlister, Skylar Helmbeck and Summer Helmbeck; sister, Dana Ashcraft (Doug) and two brothers Greg Helmbeck (Karen) and Todd Helmbeck (Cindy) as well as many nieces and nephews.

Scott was helped by many people who loved him and he would like to ask for you to help others in need in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ!

A Celebratio­n of Life Service will be held at 2 p.m., on Saturday, February 15at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home, 7724 Landers Rd., NLR, Ark., with a visitation beginning one hour prior.
