85, of Helena-West Helena, Ark., passed away Sunday, February 2, 2020. She was born Friday, July 27, 1934 to the late Harry and Ruth Lynn. She was a member of the Second Baptist Church in West Helena, Ark. She worked as a catalog manager at J C Penny for over 21 years, as an office manager for Dr. Kirkman for over 10 years, as an office manager at the Bell Clinic for over 10 years, for the city for over five years, and retired from the city of Helena after over 10 years of public service as a city council woman and she loved the people in her ward. She was instrument­al in establishi­ng the Helena river walk. She was an avid gardener a wonderful grandmothe­r, known to her grandchild­ren as “Sue-Sue”. She loved her grandchild­ren and pets.

Mrs. Sellers is survived by one daughter, Lisa Sellers Young (Micky), of Poplar Grove, Ark.; seven grandchild­ren, Robert Paul Reece, Clarksvill­e, Tenn., Katie Young, Murfreesbo­ro, Tenn., Nathan Young, Poplar Grove, Ark., John-Michael Young (Andrea), Bell Buckle, Tenn., Joseph Young, Poplar Grove, Ark., Colton Rico, Poplar Grove, Ark., and Lauren Sellers, Helena, Ark.; four great-grandchild­ren, Robert Paul Jordan Reece, Clarksvill­e, Tenn., Mikalyn Reece, Clarksvill­e, Tenn., Chase Young, Helena, Ark., and Harper Rae Young, Bell Buckle, Tenn.; one brother, Harry Lynn; three sistersin-law, Fern Garrison, Lexington, S.C., Allean McClintock, Sherwood, Ark., Bettye Kerr, Conyers, Ga., as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Ruth Lynn; husband, Lawrence Paul “L P” Sellers Jr; two sisters, Velma Lucy, Tuscaloosa, Ala., and Edna Golf; two brothers, Bobby Lynn, Richmond, Va., and Allen Lynn, Odessa, Texas; one daughter, Debby Reece; and one son, Lawrence Paul Sellers III “Paul”.

A celebratio­n of life will be held for Mrs. Sellers at Second Baptist Church in West Helena, Ark. Friday, February 14, 2020 at 10 a.m., with graveside following at Maple Hill Cemetery in Helena, Ark. Brother Randy Williams will officiate. Memorials may be sent in lieu of flowers to the Gideons Internatio­nal or the Second Baptist Church Memorial Fund at P. O. Box 2505, West Helena, Ark., 72390.
