KINGSLAND — Clyde Davis “Bud” Marks Jr.,

71, of Kingsland, formerly of Pine Bluff, went to be with the Lord on February 3, 2020. He was born April 8, 1948, in Pine Bluff, son of Clyde Davis Marks, Sr. and Mary Lucy Mitchell Marks. He was reared and received his early education in Pine Bluff, graduated from Pine Bluff High School and SEARK, formerly Vo-tech. He was a member of Hebron Methodist Church, the Kingsland Masonic Lodge, the Jacob Brump Masonic Lodge, the Scottish Rite of Freemasonr­y and a lifetime member of The National Rifle Associatio­n. He worked at Illinois Tool as a machinist and at the Pine Bluff Arsenal before he retired in 2011.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, visiting at the Kingsland store over a cup of coffee, looking after his family’s cemetery but his favorite pastime was spending time with his grandchild­ren.

Clyde was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Joseph Eugene Foster. Survivors include his daughter, Elizabeth Holly Marks Foster and her husband, Nathan, his grandchild­ren: Katelyn Michelle Foster, Lucy Grace Foster and River Penelope Octavia Foster, his sister, Virginia Sue Marks Colvin and her husband, Edgar.

A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 8, 2020, at Marks Cemetery in New Edinburg. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Marks Cemetery, c/o Mary Jo Westbrook, 5521 Hawthorne Rd., Little Rock, Ark. 72207. Arrangemen­ts are by Buie Funeral Home of Rison. (870) 325-6216.
