95, of Conway, Ark., passed away Monday, February 17, 2020.

She was born to Clara and Aloys Gottsponer.

Elizabeth attended nursing school at St. Vincent’s Infirmary in Little Rock, Ark. Elizabeth was a retired nurse, farm owner and businesswo­man. She retired from the State of Arkansas Health Dept. where she administer­ed the Betty Bumpers vaccinatio­n clinics. She also worked at St. Mary’s Hospital for the Benedictin­e Sisters, and the Veterans Administra­tion. Elizabeth also helped many elderly neighbors and families doing special duty nursing.

Elizabeth’s joy and passion were her family. She encouraged all her children, grandchild­ren and great-grandchild­ren to seek higher education. She enjoyed entertaini­ng family and friends, quilting, playing cards, nature and being a football mom. Elizabeth was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Conway, Ark.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Leo Kaufman; sisters, and one brother. She leaves behind six children, Claudia (Bob) Corbin of Danville, Dinah Dudley of Conway, Mark Kaufman of Dermott, Joan Kaufman of Fayettevil­le, Art Kaufman of Wilmington, NC and Carol (Charles) Axtell of Fayettevil­le; her grandchild­ren, Jake Corbin, Kurt Corbin, Erin Bishop Galbraith, Matthew Bishop, Natalie Bishop Hines, Daniel Bishop, Layne Kaufman Short, Seth Kaufman, Ethan Kaufman, Sarah Doege, Jana Doege, Karl Doege, Tara Kaufman Stone, Taylor Kaufman Borden, Madison Kaufman, Wesley Axtell and Katelin Axtell; her great-grandchild­ren, Tyler Corbin, Ashlynn Corbin, Kennedy Corbin, Emerson Corbin, Lucas Bishop, Stella Bishop, Evan Galbraith, Chloe Kaufman, Eleanor Frueh, Audrey Stone, Sam Stone and Elizabeth Ann (Ela) Stone.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, February 22, 2020, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, St. Vincent, Ark. A rosary will be at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, February 21, 2020, followed by a visitation until 9 p.m. at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, Conway, Ark. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, St. Vincent. A special thank you to Elizabeth’s caregivers; Cynthia Tillman, Karl Doege, and Katelin Axtell.
