69, of Little Rock, Ark., died Saturday, February 29, 2020 at St. Vincent’s Hospital, Little Rock, Ark. Ruthie was born June 25, 1950 in Starks, La., the third of four children born to the union of Arlene Cotlong and Kent Thomas.

Ruthie was a 1969 graduate from W. O. Boston High School in Lake Charles, La. Ruthie joined St. John Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend C. Dennis Edwards I.

A lifetime of love and memories will be forever remembered by her husband of 50 years, George E. Cobb Sr.; daughter, Felicia (Glenn) Graham, Little Rock, Ark.; sons, George E. (Lana) Cobb Jr., Clovis, N.M., Chawn Clerk, Jackson, Miss.; dad, Robert Cotlong Sr., Lake Charles, La.; one sister-in-law, Palacestin­e (Tina) Tabson, Augusta, Ga.; one sister, Yolanda Bailey, Stafford, Va.; four brothers, Charles Ray Thomas Sr., Philippine­s, Edward M. Thomas Sr., Monticello, Ark., Mark Simmons, Chicago, Ill., Derek Simmons, Phoenix, Ariz.; one uncle, James Baker, Atlanta, Ga.; one niece, Regina (Terry) Guillory, Katy, Texas; five grandchild­ren, Erica Boxley, Feniece Boone, Kailey Clerk, Skylar Clerk, George E. Cobb III; and one great-grandson, Corbin E. Boxley.

The Family Hour will be from 6-7 p.m. on Thursday, March 12, 2020; funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m., on Friday, March 13, 2020. Both services will be at St. John Missionary Baptist Church, 2501 S. Main, Little Rock, with Reverend C. Dennis Edwards I, officiatin­g. Burial will follow at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, North Little Rock, Ark., under the direction of Ruffin & Jarrett Funeral Home, 1200 Chester Street, Little Rock, Ark. (501) 372-1305.
