BENTON — Robert Edwin “Ed” Branton,

101 years loved, left our world peacefully at his granddaugh­ter’s home in Carlisle, Arkansas on the morning of Wednesday, March 4, 2020.

He is now rejoicing in the Kingdom of our Lord with all those he so missed. He was born in Murfreesbo­ro, Arkansas on February 25, 1919 to Wilson Hemingway Branton, Jr. and Anna Eliza Sparks Branton. He had lived in Benton, Arkansas for many years before his death. Ed was the youngest of six children.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his four brothers Milton Olin, Lonnie, Claude and Jesse Branton, and one sister, Jonnie Branton Connelly. He is also preceded in death by his first wife of 34 years, Anna Dee Womack Branton, his second wife of 47 years, Janice Foggo Branton, his son Larry Branton, his daughter Marilyn Kay Branton, grandson Allen Gregorie and great-granddaugh­ter Katie Hankins. He is survived by his children, Glenda Branton Gregorie, Deborah Jean Morris (Gene), and Alan Selby (Beth) along with 14 grandchild­ren, 21 great-grandchild­ren, 7 great-great-grandchild­ren and other extended family and friends.

A Graveside Service with military honors will be Sunday, March 8, 2020, beginning at 1 p.m. at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander.
