passed away unexpected­ly at home on March 2, 2020 while bravely battling cancer. Tim was born June 23, 1956 and grew up in the Lakewood addition of North Little Rock where he graduated from Northeast High School in 1974. He graduated from Hendrix College in 1978 with a BA in Psychology. It was there that he met his wife Carol to whom he was married for 41 years. He attended Yale Divinity School from 1980-81 and completed his degree at Perkins School of Theology in 1983 with a Master’s Degree in Theologica­l Studies.

He attended the University of Texas at Dallas Southweste­rn Medical School where he earned a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. He began his profession­al career at Hendrix College in the fall of 1989 where he taught Psychology until his death. In 2016 Tim received the Hendrix Higher Education and Ministry Exemplary Teacher Award.

Tim was preceded in death by his parents, David and Verna Maxwell. He is survived by his wife, Carol Frazier Maxwell, and sons Colin and Cameron who were his pride and joy. Other survivors include brother-inlaw Tom Frazier (Cynthia) and Robert “Bo” Frazier (Kate) and numerous nieces and nephews. He also is survived by cousins Diana Hendricks (James) and Susan Barefield (Randy).

Tim was an avid reader, often reading several books at one time. He was a life-long Razorback supporter, soccer coach when his children were young, and pet lover. He appreciate­d numerous comic book strips and there was never a Star Trek series he didn’t like.

Funeral service will be held at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Little Rock at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 7 with reception following the service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church’s music program, Arkansas Children’s Hospital, or CARTI.
