PINE BLUFF — Debra “Debbie” Renee’ Stover Vereen,

62, of Pine Bluff, Ark., went to be with the Lord on March 2, 2020. She was born October 5, 1957, in Warren, to Charles and Carolyn Harrison Stover.

She graduated from Pine Bluff High School in 1976. She was selected as the Arkansas State Girl of the Year during the 1991 Beta Sigma Phi Sorority Convention. Debbie had worked at Simmons Bank for 22 years, retiring from the Data Processing Department as a Central Informatio­n File Coordinato­r.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie “Coach” Vereen, Sr., whom she married on July 14, 1986; her father, Charles E. Stover; her grandparen­ts, Reverend Roba Harrison (Pauline) and Bruce Stover (Gladys). Survivors include her son, Brock Stover of Pine Bluff; her mother, Carolyn Harrison Stover of Pine Bluff; brother, Jeff Stover (Theresa) of Sheridan; step-sons, Chuck (Ashlea) Vereen of North Little Rock, Chris (Angela) Vereen of Star City; five step-grandchild­ren; niece, Lacey Cox (Tyler) of White Hall; nephew, Chad Stover of Washington, D.C.; great nephews, Hoyt and Grant Cox and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation will be Thursday, 5 to 7 p.m., Robinson & Fuller White Hall Funeral Chapel. Funeral service will be at Robinson & Fuller White Hall Funeral Chapel, Friday, March 6, 2020, 10 a.m., with Reverend Wilma DeFoggi, (Debbie’s aunt) officiatin­g. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery.
