NANCY ANN HILL JORDAN STANFORD,

-

age 86, died on February 26, 2020. Born May 7, 1933, 15 minutes before her brother, the doctor told her parents the two-pound twins would not survive. Her parents chose to enroll the preemies in an experimental feeding program which saved them both. On the day after her 21st birthday, Nancy married James Jordan and four children soon followed. In 1966, Nancy & Jim began the adventure of their lives when they joined Wycliffe Bible Translators, serving as missionaries in Bolivia and at the Wycliffe Headquarters in California. When her children were teenagers, Nancy returned to school. She graduated first in her licensed practical nursing class and embarked on a nursing career which she thoroughly loved. She and Jim enjoyed a 50year marriage and an Arkansas retirement that centered around gardening, camping, serving at church, and taking care of grandchildren. After being widowed, Nancy married John Stanford, and they enjoyed a life revolving around church, family, and friends. Nancy’s happy place was a campground, her passion was helping others, and her joy was her family.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, William and Ann Hill, twin brother, Curtis Hill, brother, William Hill, sister, Martha Cottrell, husband James Jordan, son, Mark Jordan, granddaughter, Rachel Hui, and grandson, Dante Jacuzzi.
