HORSESHOE BEND — Margaret “Marge” Hunter Burge,

84, of Horseshoe Bend, Ark., passed away, Monday, February 24, 2020 in Horseshoe Bend.

She was born in Pittsburgh, Pa., on July 11, 1935, daughter of the late Edgar and Stella (Asamson) Hunter. Marge was united in marriage to Coy Ray Burge on July 27, 1985. She was involved in different kinds of activities and organizati­on in Horseshoe Bend and the Tri County Area. Marge was a devout Christian attended Faith Presbyteri­an Church in Horseshoe Bend, where she had been a member for 35 years. During her 35 years at the church she served as an Elder as well as on many different committees. Marge was a pillar in the community, as she volunteere­d in the Chamber of Commerce, Garden Club, Red Hat Society and the Recycling Center. For 15 years, Marge served on the volunteer ambulance service and Honorary Police. Marge was full of life and always ready for her next adventure.

Marge is survived by her husband, Ray Burge of Horseshoe Bend; sister, Mary Kimbal of Falls Church, Va.; daughter, Debra Lynn Nelson of Marion, Ark.; son, James Dixon Roberts of West Memphis, Ark.; three grandchild­ren and three great-grandchild­ren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Stella Hunter.

Memorial service will be Friday, March 6, 2020 beginning at 11 a.m., at Faith Presbyteri­an Church in Horseshoe Bend with Rev. David Schaller officiatin­g. There will be a luncheon to follow the service.
