On the morning of February, 29, 2020, ROBERT KENWORTHY of Maumelle, Ark.,

passed away at the age of 87 after battling cancer. Born in Axtell, Kan., to Voile James Kenworthy and Albert Ruth Kenworthy, he was a U.S. Air Force veteran.

Preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Gerald Kenworthy, and his son, James Kenworthy. He is survived by his wife, Virginia, his children, Robert Kenworthy (Kirsten) of Rio Rancho, N.M., and Karen Wolfe (Lee) of Madison, Miss., grandchildren, Gavin and Hunter Wolfe.

After being raised in Kansas and joining the military, in 1959 he married Virginia Badders and together they raised three children — Bob Jr., James, and Karen.

After serving this country he loved so much and retiring as a Senior Master Sergeant, Bob became a systems analyst with the Federal Aviation Administration. Upon his retirement with FAA, he and his wife Virginia moved to Heber Springs to enjoy retirement, grandkids, and gardening. They then RV’d full time for seven years. Traveling to see their kids, grandkids, and meeting with numerous friends in various cities all across the country. Upon hanging up their RV keys, they enjoyed settling down in Greenbrier, Ark., for 10 years.

Bob enjoyed his yard and being outdoors, spending time with his neighbors whom he loved and considered family, discussing politics, visiting his family and above all else flirting with his “gorgeous” bride of over 60 years.

Bob had a personality that people were drawn to. He could be warm and give you the soundest advice and he could be fun and loved to joke. He really loved harassing and joking with all he met. Even with his decline in health, he still managed to make people smile. (Family and medical staff alike)

Services will be held on Tuesday, March 17th, 2020, at 10 a.m. at Olmstead Funeral Home in Heber Springs, Ark., followed by Interment with Military Honors at Palestine Baptist Church. Officiated by Mr. Kent Schreiber. www.olmstead.cc.
