Since 1924, Harding University has challenged its students to pursue scholarship, service, teamwork, excellence and commitment. The largest private university in Arkansas, Harding has been ranked a top university for 2019 by Money magazine, The Wall Street Journal and The Princeton Review.
Harding, which is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, offers more than 100 areas of undergraduate study and more than 20 graduate and professional programs. With a student-teacher ratio of 14:1, strong relationships are built in and out of the classroom.
Learning opportunities extend beyond the school’s Searcy campus with multiple short- and long-term study-abroad programs, including semester-long trips to Australasia, England, Greece, Italy, Latin America and Zambia.
A member of the NCAA Division II Great American Conference, Harding has more than 375 student athletes playing on 18 teams. Students also have a variety of intramural and recreational activities available in the on-campus activities complex and intramural fields.
In addition to athletics, students can explore their interests and get involved with more than 120 academic and professional organizations or one of 31 social clubs, a tradition that dates back to the beginning of the university.
As “A Community of Mission,” Harding is particularly devoted to preparing students for lives of Christian service. From devoting time to projects as varied as community service and international missions, students are making an impact on campus, in the community and around the world. As a result, Harding alumni display character, conviction and a competitive edge, and they are prepared for success at prestigious graduate schools and companies throughout the nation.
