SUZANNE KELLAR McCARTY of Little Rock,

Arkansas passed away March 6, 2020. Suzanne lived an amazing life during her 58 years. She was born January 8, 1962 to Ronald and Camelia Kellar. She graduated from McClellan High School in Little Rock, Arkansas and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administra­tion, Management and Computer Informatio­n Systems from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in 1984.

Suzanne was a Financial Services Profession­al and Licensed Agent with New York Life since 2016. Prior to that, she served as Executive Director of the National Associatio­n of Insurance and Financial Advisors.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ron and Camelia Kellar, her son, Nathaniel Gordon, and her husband, Phil McCarty. She is survived by her precious daughter, Christina Gordon of Little Rock. Other survivors include Holly Funderburk, Debbie Woosley and Valerie Moran whom Suzanne claimed as sisters.

Suzanne was an extremely capable person with diverse interests and talents. Whether in knitting class, the FBI Citizens Academy, Toastmaste­rs or some other venue, Suzanne was quick to learn and quicker to make friends. She had a knack for observing others and finding opportunit­ies to help them. She was a wonderful friend, beloved by many.

She was even more devoted to family. Suzanne loved her children fiercely. She was also devoted to her parents until their deaths. She took pride in her host of cousins, aunts and uncles. She especially loved Bill and Janet Lowe. She enjoyed traveling and cooking and was a talented hostess. Her holiday parties were a special time for gathering to enjoy Suzanne’s great culinary creations and to have a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Suzanne was a long-time member of Saint Andrew’s Anglican Church of Little Rock. She loved Christ and cherished her faith. She valued and appreciate­d her church and their love and care for her, her spiritual growth, and for her family.

A Fellowship and Celebratio­n of Life and Legacy will be held this evening, Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at 6 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Court (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.). A Memorial Service honoring Suzanne’s life will be held Thursday, March 12, 2020 at 10: a.m. at St. Andrew’s Anglican Church, 8300 Kanis Road, Little Rock, Arkansas. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be given to Immerse Arkansas, 5300 Asher Avenue, Little Rock, Arkansas 72204.
