WARREN — Joanne K. Richardson,

age 92, of Warren, Ark., died Monday, March 16th at her home surrounded by her loving family. Joanne was born October 13th, 1927, in St. Louis, Mo., a daughter of the late Troy Kight and Charlene Scobey Kight. She was a graduate of the Warren Public Schools, and the wife of Bob Richardson, whom she married in 1948; this union of marriage lasted over 72 years. Joanne worked for 10 years equally at the Veterans Administra­tion in Little Rock, Ark., she worked for the W. and O.V. railroad, and for Dr. French Wynne and Dr. James Marsh. More importantl­y, she was a loving housewife and homemaker for her husband and family.

Joanne was a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church in Warren; her devotion to the church was apparent along with her service and her attendance. She was a 65year dedicated founding member of the United Methodist Woman’s (Circle of Andrews) which are small groups of women that come together for a time of spiritual growth, prayer, education and fellowship. Joanne served as superinten­dent of Sunday schools and church programs for 20 years. She served numerous times on the church’s board of trustees, where her devotion and dedication landed her as chairperso­n. Even in her later days of church attendance, she insisted she and her husband Bob enter as always, thru the front narthex. Joanne and Bob dearly loved one of her favorite passions, watching the horses race at Oaklawn.

She was also preceded in death by a son, Charles Michael Richardson. Surviving other than her husband, Bob, are sons, Steve Richardson and spouse Debra, Warren, Ark., Scott Richardson and spouse Karen, Warren, Ark.; nine grandchild­ren, Robert Austin Richardson and spouse Ashley, Scott Allison Johnson and spouse Justin, Morgan Meeks and spouse Matt, Stevie Richardson, Dr. Sylvia Simon and spouse Dr. Tim, Keith Chambers and spouse Christina, Jenny Lemoine and spouse Cliff, Brandi Collier and spouse Jeff, and Alexee Chambers; 10 great-grandchild­ren, Mattelyn Meeks, McKinleigh Meeks, Savvy Scott Johnson, Pete Simon, Mary Emma Simon, Nicholas Lemoine, Caroline Lemoine, Jay Collier and Jaxon Collier. Caregivers Shirley Green and Laverne Moore who the family greatly appreciate­s.

The family would like to express their deepest regrets, because of the CDC recommenda­tions for gatherings and the spread of the coronaviru­s, they will be having a PRIVATE family graveside.
