85, of Little Rock, passed away March 22, 2020 with his family at his side. Paul was born February 21, 1935 on a dairy farm in south Pulaski County in the Sweet Home community. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul H. Dixon and Mildred Dreher Dixon, and his sister, Alice Dixon Staggs.

Paul was a proud graduate of Henderson State University with a BA in Economics. He played football and received an ROTC Commission in the Military Police Corps. He served five years on the alumni board, one of those as president. He served 14 years on the Board of Trustees with two years as chairman. He was designated a Distinguis­hed Alumni in 2005 and elected to the Reddie Athletic Hall of Honor in 2015 for his service to Henderson. He also did postgradua­te studies in accounting at UALR.

His first 10 years of his working career was with his father at Dixon Dairy. After Dixon Dairy merged with Coleman Dairy, he went into sales. He retired from Deltic Timber Corporatio­n where he was the commercial real estate broker for Chenal Properties. He spent over 30 years in commercial real estate.

Paul was a life member of the Little Rock Realtor Associatio­n, a member of Arkansas Realtors Associatio­n and the National Associatio­n of Realtors. He was a life member of CCIM Institute and was designated a CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member) after advanced studies in commercial real estate. He was a Past Potentate of the Scimitar Shrine Temple and a former member of Rotary Club 99 where he was a Paul Harris Fellow. He was also a past president of the Arkansas Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution.

Paul and his wife, Grace, loved traveling in the USA and foreign countries. He loved watching college football, especially the Reddies and Razorbacks, and enjoyed trout fishing on the White River. He enjoyed genealogy, having done research on his mother’s side of the family. He was very proud of being a descendant of Jean Baptist Imbeau, one of the first settlers of Little Rock.

Paul is survived by Grace, his loving wife of 44 years; his daughter, Paula Dixon Carter of Richmond, Virginia; stepdaught­er, Rene Pace of Gurdon; stepsons, Robert Franklin (Mary) of Edgemont and Marc Franklin (Georgia) of Little Rock; grandchild­ren, Leslye Rowland (Darin) of Philadelph­ia, Pa., Nicholas Kazas and Alexandra Kazas, both of Richmond, Va.; step-grandchild­ren, Taylor Griffin (Josh) of Gurdon, Colby Pace (Adrian) of Norman, Okla., Karrie Morrison (Dan) of Springfiel­d, Mo., and Sarah Franklin of Little Rock; a great-granddaugh­ter, four step-great-granddaugh­ters, two step-great-grandsons; niece, Tara Lowery (Johnny) and nephew, Dick Staggs, and brother-inlaw, Charlie Staggs.

Paul’s family wishes to thank Dana, Bill and Lisa of Elite Home Health Care and the staff of Arkansas Hospice for their loving care. Graveside services will be private. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
