DeWITT — Charlotte Ann Bouscher,

-

67, of DeWitt, Ark., ascended to be with her Heavenly Father on Friday, April 17, 2020.

Born on August 7, 1952, she was preceded in death by her parents Evelyn Stevenson Roberts and Earl McCarty and her brother Terry Smith. She is survived by her sister, Sheila Roberts and brothers Richard Smith and Gary McCarty.

Ann graduated from DeWitt High School in 1971 and was attending Draughon Business College in Little Rock when she met a young man named Darrell Bouscher recently returning home from active duty overseas in the U.S. Navy. Introduced by his mother, Mrs. Vera Pollard, they attended a local dance together, soon realizing they were soulmates and married on July 28, 1973, in DeWitt, Ark. Their blossoming love produced three beautiful children, Michael, Clint, and Tara, and would span 47 years of marriage. Once Ann finished school, she pursued an accounting career while raising her family. Ann was the epitome of what a supportive mother should be. From Mike’s pet menagerie to Clint’s G.I. Joe assortment to Tara’s reading and craft obsession, she always encouraged her children’s interests even if it included high maintenance chameleons, outlandishly expen

sive cobra commando ships, or never-ending trips to the public library. Darrell and Ann started building their house together in 1979 and made many precious memories over 40 years in their country home watching hummingbirds, tending flower and vegetable gardens, and watching their three children and nine grandchildren play and grow. “A wise old owl sat in an oak. The more she heard, the less she spoke.

The less she spoke, the more she heard.

Why aren’t we all more like the wisest of birds?”
