CONWAY — The University of Arkansas Division of Agricultur­e-Extension Faulkner County Horticultu­re and the Faulkner County Master Gardeners will host a free Learning to Grow presentati­on with lifestyle blogger Amber Card from 6-7:30 p.m. on the Zoom app. Participan­ts will learn how to incorporat­e new textures and hues into their garden and indoor green space, as well as how to utilize homegrown fruits and vegetables. ONGOING ATU Spring Plant Sale

RUSSELLVIL­LE — The Arkansas Tech University Department of Agricultur­e has modified its annual spring plant sale for 2020. Tomato and pepper plants grown by ATU students and faculty are available by the 18-count flat through the Russellvil­le Community Market. Ornamental and landscape bedding plants from the department will be available in the near future. Place orders online at russellvil­le.locallygro­wn.net/market/index/37097; then pay for and pick up the plants from 4-8 p.m. each Tuesday at the train depot in downtown Russellvil­le. Look for plants listed as “ATU Agricultur­e” when browsing the online inventory.

Russellvil­le Park Openings

RUSSELLVIL­LE — The Russellvil­le Recreation and Parks Department has opened the following parks: the Russellvil­le Dog Park, the Russellvil­le Skate Park, and all tennis and outdoor basketball courts and the community fishing pond at Pleasant View Park. In addition, Hickey Park, Pleasant View Park, Shiloh Park and the Soccer Complex have opened for practices. Games, scrimmages and tournament­s will not be allowed at this time. Bathrooms and playground­s in Russellvil­le parks will remain closed until further notice. All visitors to the city’s parks are reminded to follow state guidelines in relation to COVID-19. Main Street Morrilton Farmers’ Market

MORRILTON — The Main Street Morrilton Farmers’ Market is open from 4-7 p.m. the first Thursday of the month in the 100 block of Commerce Street. HEBER SPRINGS — The following churches and organizati­ons are serving drive-thru dinners for area residents: First Baptist Church,

201 N. Fourth St., from 5-7 p.m. Tuesdays; Heber Springs First Assembly of God, 1009 W. Searcy St., from 5-7 p.m. Thursdays; Breakin’ Bread Ministries,

714 Scott St., from 5-7 p.m. Fridays; and First United Methodist Church, 1099 W. Pine St., from 5-7 p.m. Saturdays. Other churches, organizati­ons, businesses and volunteers have helped make the dinners possible by donating time and resources.

Neighbor’s Table

Sesquicent­ennial Celebratio­n

RUSSELLVIL­LE—Main Street Arkansas, Main Street Russellvil­le, the Russellvil­le Area Chamber of Commerce and the City of Russellvil­le are hosting the Sesquicent­ennial Celebratio­n at 5 p.m. June 5 in downtown Russellvil­le. The 150th birthday celebratio­n will include an art walk, photo exhibit, mural unveiling, ribbon cutting, live music, birthday sweets and fireworks sponsored by Interstate Fireworks. Build Your Own Droid

CONWAY—University of Central Arkansas Makerspace and Conductor are hosting a Build Your Own Droid workshop from 5-7 p.m. June 12 at UCA Makerspace, 250 Donaghey Ave., No. 130. The free class is designed to introduce makers and the community to the world of innovation. Supplies and instructio­n will be provided by the Makerspace staff. Into the Light Fundraisin­g Event

QUITMAN — Margie’s Haven House Inc. will present its third annual Into the Light fundraiser from 6-9 p.m. June 13 at Fawn Hollow, 2075 Goff Road. The event will feature music, dancing, food, wine, special raffled items, live and silent auctions, and a guest speaker. The fundraiser will benefit adults and children who are victims of domestic violence. Tickets are $30 each or $225 for a table for eight. Petit Jean Balloon Event

MORRILTON—The Petit Jean Farmers’ Market will hosti the Petit Jean Balloon Event on Father’s Day weekend at 1039 Winrock Drive, Morrilton.
