RUSSELLVILLE — James Price,
90 of Russellville, passed away Sunday, May 10, 2020, at Lakewood Health & Rehab. He was born April 9, 1930, in Russellville to John Edgar and Della Stephens Price.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Rita Joyce Whorton Price; grandson, Jason Price Bishop; three brothers, one sister; son-in-law, Ron DuPriest. He is survived by his wife, Emma Jo Price, Russellville; two daughters, Barbara Diane DuPriest, North Little Rock, Debbie Price Bishop & husband Jerry, North Little Rock; grandchildren, Jarrod DuPriest & wife, Krista, Kristin DuPriest; great-grandsons, Jackson & Cooper; sister, Mary Jean Noland & husband Bob, Tulsa, Oklahoma; stepchildren, Jan Duvall, Russellville, Danny Duvall, Atlanta, Ga.
James was known to his family and friends as J.W. or Dub. Recently, at Lakewood Health & Rehab, he was known as “Pops.” He was a kind, gentle soul. No matter who you were, when you walked into the room, he made you feel welcome. He was a member of Russellville First Assembly of God Church. James was an avid gardener, he also enjoyed fishing, hunting and had a passion for woodworking.
Graveside funeral service and burial will be at 2:00 pm, Thursday, May 14, 2020, at Pisgah Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Russellville Family Funeral.
