CROSSETT — Evelyn Brantley Jordan,

-

88, of Crossett passed away peacefully on May 13, 2020. She was born in Crossett on October 13, 1931 to the late Dan and Hazel Brantley. Evelyn was a woman who held her faith close to her heart and was a lifetime member of Mount Olive Baptist Church.

Everyone who knew her will remember her as the picture of class, a true southern lady. Her home and yard were always immaculate, as was her appearance, she took pride in making the things around her beautiful. She was an avid gardener and an incredible cook. Anything she did, she did with the end goal always being perfection.

Evelyn was married to her teenage sweetheart for over 60 years. She was devoted to Leroy and him to her. Together they raised their only daughter to have the same qualities they did; devotion to family, a hard work ethic and faith in something greater.

Meeting Evelyn in Heaven are her parents; her husband of over 60 years, Leroy Jordan; her brothers, Doyal Brantley and LaDon Brantley and sister in law, Ann Brantley. Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Pamela Riley (Alan); grandchildren, Sam Clark, Jeremey Hensley, Katharine Gordon (Gregg) and Elizabeth Hobbs (Chris); 10 great-grandchildren, two bonus grandchildren, one great-greatgrandchild as well as numerous extended family members, friends and church family.

Graveside Service will be on Tuesday, May 19 at 10 a.m. at Pinewood Memorial Park with Bro. Eric Hodge officiating. Online guestbook and tributes available at www.GrossFuneralHome.com.
