MATTHEW PAUL STANFIELD,

age 44, went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 22, 2020. Matt was born on April 11, 1976 to Jenny Stanfield and Paul Stanfield in Little Rock, Ark. He graduated from North Little Rock High School and attended the University of Arkansas.

Matt was a long-time member of Immanuel Baptist Church, lover of cinema, and devoted sports fan, especially to the St. Louis Cardinals. His wit and humor were unmatched, always keeping his friends and family laughing. Matt leaves behind a legacy of generosity, loyalty and love. His proudest achievemen­t was his daughter, Jordyn, who was the light of his life. He loved coaching her soccer team and watching her play the many sports in which she excels.

Matt was preceded in death by his beloved grandparen­ts, Leo and Thelma Wingfield and Homer and Pearl Stanfield, and Uncle David Wingfield. He is survived by his mother, Jenny Stanfield of North Little Rock, Ark.; father, Paul Stanfield of Austin, Texas; brother Luke Stanfield of Dallas, Texas and sister Elizabeth Davies (Sean) of Dallas, Texas; Aunt Elaine Stanfield of Alma, Ark.; Uncle Dennis Wingfield (Judy) of North Little Rock, Ark., and a host of cousins and special friends.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a graveside service for family and close friends was held at Edgewood Memorial Park in North Little Rock, Ark., on May 28th, 2020. Honorary pallbearer­s were Luke Stanfield, Sean Davies, Kevin Wingfield, Austin Wingfield, Kevin Stowe, Chad Smith and Darrell Johnson.

A Celebratio­n of Life service will be held at a later date where we can honor Matt’s life with stories, photos, memories and songs.
