Senior Center Bingo

Searcy Summer Dinner Theatre Postponement
SEARCY — The Searcy Summer Dinner Theatre, Harding University’s summer community-based theater program, has postponed its 2020 season. “This will mark the first year in 37 years of SSDT that our family of performers and crews will not be performing …,” said Steve Frye, professor and chair of the theater department. “Our plan is to carry this season forward to 2021, when our Escape From Reality will become a welcome relief in a healthier world. BAAC National Juried Exhibition
BATESVILLE — The Batesville Area Arts Council Gallery on Main is hosting its eighth annual BAAC National Juried Exhibition through Aug. 1. The exhibit consists of 21 pieces from 19 artists across the U.S. The exhibit’s juror is Eric Freeman, an American-born painter, poet, musician and photographer. Independence County Library Services Update
BATESVILLE — The Independence County Library, 267 E. Main St., even though undergoing compulsory closure because of the COVID-19 pandemic, continues to offer curbside service from
9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday so patrons can check out materials. E-books are also available for checkout. Cabot Lions Club
Knife Raffle 2020
CABOT — The Cabot Lions Club will raffle off a hand-crafted, custom knife and sheath by Lion Kimm Hunt that is valued at approximately $250. Proceeds from the event will be used to purchase exams and eyeglasses for schoolchildren and in-need adults; to assist applicants with hearing aids and glaucoma and cataract surgeries; to provide vision screenings; and to support the Cabot Lions Scholarship Fund. Purchase tickets from any Cabot Lions Club member for a donation of $5 each or $20 for five. The drawing will take place Oct. 10 at the Cabot Lions booth at CabotFest.
UPCOMING Into the Light Fundraiser
QUITMAN — Margie’s Haven House Inc. will present its third annual Into the Light fundraiser from 6-9 p.m. June 13 at Fawn Hollow, 2075 Goff Road. The event will feature music, dancing, food, wine, special raffled items, live and silent auctions, and a guest speaker. The fundraiser will benefit adults and children who are victims of domestic violence. Tickets are $30 each or $225 for a table for eight. Family Fitness Scavenger Hunt
JACKSONVILLE — The Jacksonville Parks and Recreation Department’s annual National Recreation and Park Association Family Fitness Day Parks Adventure will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 13 across five of Jacksonville’s 11 parks. Families will travel from one park to the next, completing fitness challenges that highlight the beauty of the parks. Animal Protection League Golf Tournament
FAIRFIELD BAY — The Fairfield Bay Animal Protection League Golf Tournament will take place June 27 at the Indian Hills Golf Resort.
